Perfect getaway for couples ! close to Ludington or Baldwin.

We invite you to come and relax, in the recently updated, quaint log cabin. It is the perfect spot for a weekend getaway or a romantic escape. Located 15 miles East of Ludington, 14 miles West of Baldwin and by the Manistee National Forest. This is a great place for trail riding, hiking and enjoying the outdoors, with access to a public boat launch 1/2 block away on Long Lake. Perfect for swimming, fishing or spending time in the water kayaking or canoeing.
This quiet cabin gives an inviting romantic, woodsy atmosphere, with modern amenities. This is a smoke free and pet free premises.
The cabin is equipped with a stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, Kerig, coffee maker, pots, pans, dishes and utensils. We have cable TV and Internet/ Wi Fi. The bedroom has a luxurious, king bed. There is also a full sleeper and twin sleeper for additional guests.
This quiet getaway provides plenty of places to relax, from sitting in front of the real stone fireplace reading, or in the gazebo or around the firepit.

This place grew on us during our stay and we hated to leave on the day of our departure. The inside was well equipped for being able to cook and prepare meals. The outdoor furniture was dusty and we cleaned it off before using it. The inside was very tidy and the bed was super comfortable! I would definitely consider staying here again!

Another pleasant stay!

This is our second time staying at the cabin and it was just as nice as the last. The cabin has everything you need and communication with the owner is always great. Neighborhood is nice and quiet so after a long day in downtown Ludington, it’s nice to come back to the peace and quiet.

Perfect Couples Retreat

The Little Red Cabin was a perfect destination for our romantic weekend getaway. Elly’s attention to detail was superb; everything was thought of. We had a great time making breakfast together in the kitchen, relaxing bye the fire, and flopping around the lovely little cozy cabin. We would 100% stay here again. Thanks for the memories!

The cabin that has it all

We absolutely loved the red cabin in the woods. Has everything you could want. The weather didn't cooperate for us to enjoy outside however it was really nice to be able to just relax. The bed is very comfortable and soft. Highly recommend!

Home Away From Home

Red Cabin Retreat is very welcoming and relaxing. Felt like we were staying with close friends or relatives. The cabin has everything you could possibly need and more. The outdoor area is very spacious and has many extra amenities that allows you to kick back and relax, such as the gazebo, fire pit, swing, etc. Perfect getaway!

Very cozy. Well stocked , no need for anything because they thought of everything you may need. Clean. Many options for entertainment. Movies to watch, games to play, books to read, cozy camp fire, yard games and so much more. We will definitely go back

Quaint cabin

1903 original log cabin with country /lake cabin theme decor! Loads of charm. Comfy king sized bed. Sleeps more than 2 but perfect for a couple. Lots of outdoor living space but the weather was too chilly in for us to take advantage. I’d stay again in a heartbeat!

Private and serene

This property is perfect for a romantic get away. It has all the amenities and more, just like being at home. Elly has gone out of her way to be accommodating to us. There are so many sitting areas in nature and the bonfire area was beautiful. It is wonderful that it has a covered area in case of rain. Perfect for morning coffee. We will probably be back our next trip to Ludington since everything is so close. Nice job!

Red Cabin Retreat a Slice of Heaven

This was just perfect and there truly was nothing missing. This place had it all. From location, peaceful,quaint and cozy and every amenity and more was there! Our host and her property manager are just wonderful! Never did I ever expect a birthday and anniversary wishes from her. True angels and it was not coincidence we found this location to stay. Divinely guided and blessed and grateful for the time there. Memories to treasure. Thank you Elly!!!

Red Cabin delivers!!

We came to the area for my husbands disc golf tournament. Little did we know we had found the perfect haven of rest for our down time. Elly and Dave have created such a cozy nest. There is seriously EVERYTHING you need at the Red Cabin. Although this time we came only with the two of us, we could easily have hosted a gathering for with friends/family with the outdoor space provided- a gazebo for games, a carport converted into seating for many, a campfire for s’mores with chairs surrounding it,and 5 kayaks. Inside the cabin is cozy, cute and also well equipped. The kitchen is complete! And, I when I locked myself out, Elly answered on the first ring greeting me by name. I was back in the cabin in 5 minutes. Thank you Elly for everything!
