A ground-floor beach hideaway with your own private patio, a 15-minute walk from Jetty Park and Fort Pierce Inlet State Park.
Your own entrance, no stairs, no shared hallways. Inside: a queen bedroom, full kitchen, and a living area with a twin daybed and trundle — sleeps 4. Out back you'll share the pool, gazebo and grills, and the garage is stocked with kayaks, bikes and beach gear for guests to use.
The whole downstairs is yours, with your own private entrance. No stairs to climb, no shared hallway, nobody walking past your door. If you've aged out of hauling luggage up a flight of stairs, this is the unit.
Your own terrace. Furnished and private — the one outdoor space at Sea Breeze Retreat that isn't shared. Morning coffee, evening drink, sand-covered shoes left by the door.
Sleeping for 4 · Bedroom — queen bed, with a door that closes · Living room — twin daybed with a pull-out twin trundle underneath · 1 full bathroom
The daybed setup works beautifully for two kids or a friend traveling with you. Worth knowing before you book: those two beds are in the living room, not a second bedroom.
Set up to actually live in. Full kitchen with real cookware, dining area, fast Wi-Fi and a dedicated workspace if you're stretching a beach week into a work week. Driveway parking for 2 vehicles on the right side in front.
Out back, shared with the upstairs guests: the pool, gazebo, outdoor seating, charcoal and gas grills, and an outdoor shower for rinsing off sand. The backyard catches the breeze straight off Hutchinson Island — it's where most guests end up spending the evening.
What's around you · Jetty Park & Fort Pierce Inlet State Park — about 15 minutes on foot. Surf, jetty fishing, and one of the best kayak launches on the coast. · Frederick Douglass Memorial Park — one of the only beaches in Florida that permits horseback riding. Guided beach rides can be booked with a local outfitter; do it at sunrise. · Fishing charters, marinas and boat tours — the inlet puts you minutes from serious offshore fishing. · Parasailing and kitesurfing — the steady coastal wind makes this stretch a favorite. · Waterfront restaurants a few minutes up the road, and downtown Fort Pierce beyond that.
Bigger group? The upstairs unit sleeps 6, and both units plus the whole outdoor area can be booked together as a full home — just ask and we'll check availability.
Self-check-in. You'll get a secure door code 24 hours before arrival, so come and go on your own schedule — no meeting anyone, no key handoff.
The garage is the good part. Stocked and open to you: kayaks, bikes, beach chairs, beach gear, card games and board games. Take a kayak out on the Indian River Lagoon to look for manatees and dolphins or ride a bike down to the sand.
The shared laundry area is in the garage — not inside the unit, but a few steps away.
The pool is open 24 hours with toys in it. It isn't heated: refreshing in summer, brisk in January.
A few practical notes: the garage stores amenities, so it isn't available for parking, and a few areas stay locked for maintenance. If you bring a dog, keep them leashed out back and clean up after them.
We want our guests to have a relaxing and enjoyable stay while still respecting their privacy. Self-check-in makes arrival easy and convenient, but we are always available through the VRBO app if guests need assistance, recommendations, or have any questions during their stay. We strive to respond quickly and make sure our guests feel comfortable throughout their visit.
This is the downstairs unit of a duplex. The backyard, pool, gazebo, grills, outdoor shower and garage are shared with the upstairs guests. Your unit, entrance and patio are private. Two of the four sleeping spots are a twin daybed and trundle in the living room. The laundry area is in the shared garage rather than inside the unit. The pool is not heated. The garage stores amenities and isn't available for parking. Checking out is easy: towels in the laundry area, trash out, A/C set, doors locked. Kayaks, bikes and beach gear are used at your own risk — please wear the life vests provided.
