This cabin is a faodail (a lucky find) – a cozy retreat located in the picturesque village of Fort Augustus, between Fort William and Inverness in the Scottish Highlands. Nestled at the southern end of Loch Ness, it’s the perfect base for exploring the Highlands and Islands. Positioned near the Caledonian Canal, a stay in this cabin is sure to be one of the most memorable getaways.

Self-Catering Comfort:
- The cabin is fully equipped to make your stay effortless. Kitchen amenities include a fridge, hob, toaster, kettle, air fryer, and microwave.

Outdoor Space:
- Step out onto the terrace, where you can enjoy stunning mountain views while grilling on the BBQ - the perfect spot to relax and soak in the natural beauty of the Highlands.

Respite after a long flight

We only stayed here one night. The cabin was clean and we were presented with some excellent snacks. It was a little small for three adults but would be perfect for a couple. As with most places in Scotland, there is no air conditioning and it was unseasonably warm when we arrived. Thankfully there was a fan to use and during the night it cooled off. It's an easy walk down hill to Fort Augustus and a view of Loch Ness. Our hosts were very kind. The unit is a cabin in their back yard, so you feel a bit like a local . We got a good night's sleep after our long flight and drive and enjoyed listening to the birds as the sun rose. Very happy.
