The staff was lovely and I really appreciated the kind and hospitable nature of the hotel. I will say, however, that the room was a little rundown (Ex. a broken cabinet door, discolored lampshades, a glitchy TV remote, and chips on the corners of the vanity). Those are just little things that made it feel not as upscale, but overall I really enjoyed the experience.

The bathrooms are somewhat outdated but not a big deal. The hotel is currently under renovation so the gym was closed, the front desk offered to give me a coupon to the nearest Planet Fitness which was great but they never delivered it to my room as requested.
For a one night stay it was central and valet parking was a breeze.

Take the metro to Ford's Theater or just anywhere downtown. Driving and Parking are horrendous in downtown DC.

A terrific, sobering history lesson and amazing to see this restored as it was when we lost our greatest president. Items in historical exhibit are stunning, especially the tiny pistol that changed the world.
