Strange Uncle, 1001 nights room

Strange Uncle b&b is located 3 minutes walking from the Duomo. The building is from the 1700. Strange Uncle has 4 bedrooms in total. This one is the biggest double bedroom with a shared bathroom. It's called 1001 nights room. WiFi, AC, coffee, tea, towels, sheets and toiletries are included. Breakfast is not included. You can use the kitchen and leave your bags after check-out and before check-in.

Strange Uncle B&B is situated in a small and characteristic street next to Piazza San Lorenzo, the square of the famous leather market. The building is from the 1700s, three of our rooms have original frescoes.
The interior design is a mix of furniture from the late 800s and some of our creations.
We offer three double bedrooms and one single room. All rooms feature a fan and a hairdryer, TV and coffee machine. This room has a shared bathroom and AC.
Guests can use the shared kitchen and leave their luggage before check-in and after check-out. Each room offers a personal guide book with our favorite restaurants, bars, sights and our favorite places in the area.

IMPORTANT:
At the moment, there are construction works at our building as we are getting a new rooftop, a lift and a new isolation. So, there can be some dust on the stairs of the building and not much sunlight is coming in. We are sorry for any inconvenience and hope it'll be done soon.

The kitchen is the heart of the Strange Uncle. Here, our guests can meet other travelers, cook and enjoy a glass of wine.

Bred and Nadja live 5 minutes walking from the Strange Uncle and pass by if needed. Bred's dad offers winery tours to the oldest wine castle in Tuscany.

This area is famous for its leather market, which is open all day long, every day.
Next to the leather market you can find the Mercato Centrale: the ground floor is open until 2 pm (every day except Sunday) and offers homemade pasta, fresh fruit, butchers, bakeries and a very good restaurant; the upper floor is new, it's open every day until midnight: here you can find a bar, a pizzeria, some wine bars, restaurants, ice-creams and in general some typical tuscan food.
We'll be happy to suggest you many other restaurants and bars in our area.

Our area is well connected and it's less than a 10 minutes walk from the main station, Santa Maria Novella. There, you can find buses and trains. For the guests who travel by car, there are many garages in this district.


WINE TOUR in the CHIANTI AREA
On the first 15 days of every month, we invite our guests on booking a wine tour with our private driver who brings you to the oldest winery in Tuscany. Take a walk in the 1000-year-old wine cellars, learn about the winery's history and taste excellent wines and starters. After that, Strange Uncle's private driver brings you to Greve in Chianti where you can have a tasty gelato and visit one of the most famous butcher shops. Book your guided tour now! :)

It is possible to start the tour at 9.00 am, 2.00 pm and 3.00 pm

The rooms will be ready at 15.00 latest, but you can come earlier and leave your luggage. Please just let us know your approximate arrival time.
Check-out is at 10 am and you can leave luggage in the kitchen after that

The Strange Uncle is on the second floor without elevator, but the stairs are quite easy.
We kindly ask you to respect the other guests and not to smoke in the apartment.
