The staff is wonderful, and as far as proximity to the major sites in central Florence, it can't be beat. The breakfast buffet offers abundant variety.
I had stayed at this hotel a few times previously. Since being bought out by B&B Hotel, the locally crafted bathroom soaps, lotions, and hair products have been replaced with a singular bottle of "body and hair" wash. This was a downgrade.
The rooms would benefit from additional window soundproofing. The hotel itself is very quiet, and you don't hear other rooms/guests, but the nighttime street noise is very loud, especially on the weekends.
