Lovely!

We had the best time here! The apartment was nice and cool during the hottest time of the year and provided all of the amenities we needed to relax after long days walking around the city. The terrace was so lovely for breakfast and relaxing. The location is wonderful for its proximity to local bakeries, shops, markets and restaurants. Highly recommend!

Large & comfortable apartment

We enjoyed our stay here very much. Great neighborhood, large apartment with plenty of space. Easy walk over the bridge into the heart of Florence, and the best restaurants are on the Oltrarno side of the river.

Great location in a great city!

Valentina and her colleague Viviana were great. From the booking all the way to the check-out process, they were responsive and prompt. The apartment is big and fit my family of 4 comfortably. It's located in a great spot with amazing food within 5 minutes from the apartment.

Not what it promised to be…!

The appartement was really not clean! The contact persoon startend to clean as we checked in, because she was embarrassed!The little terras on the pictures… is a real dirty mess!WiFi is poor! The air conditioning- only in the bedrooms- doesn’t really cool off when it’s hot.There are no international channels on the tv.If they put more effort in the overall ambiance and the cleanliness, this could be a top property.The best was its location.We will NOT rent it again, unless some improvements are made. So sorry!

Convenient and Quiet

This is a great spot just across the river and away from the crowds and noise of the historic area. That said it is just a short walk to everything. Our host was wonderful and very helpful in guiding us to great places to eat. We had a very busy but enjoyable time!

This apartment is spacious and located in a neighborhood that is far enough away from the hordes of tourists but close enough to some fun and authentic neighborhoods. Lots of great dining options nearby. Easy check in process. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Great Florence Apartment

Great location to access everything we needed, from grocery store, laundry facility and the many important places Florence has to offer. Hosts and assistant communicated well with us and helped with check-in , check-out process easily. Will definitely consider it again on next trip back.

Nice apartment in quieter side of Florence

Really enjoyed the well equipped apartment. Good location for us. 15 mins walk from most of old town. Nice traditional Tuscan restaurant opposite with good food and service. Easy bus from and to station or tram/bus from airport.

Get away from the crowds in peaceful appartment

Safe and Convient VRBO

Large, convient, and safe. Close to everything yet away from all the noise. Would have been helpful to have a second set of keys. Vivianna was extremely helpful during out check- in. Back porch and living room could have been cleaner.

Wonderful Florentine neighborhood

The property was beautiful and accurately shown by the photos. We appreciated the washing machine and other conveniences provided.The best part was being away from the tourist area of Florence and watching the store owners, school kids and families go about their daily lives. The bus stop is directly in front of the property which took us directly to the train station.

Perfect!

The apartment in Florence is wonderful. We hope to go back. Location is exceptional, beautiful kitchen, large bedrooms and living room. Viviana goes over and above. She took the time to tell us about places to go, walks and great restaurants. She helped us arrange taxis to and from the airport and to the bus station for a Siena side trip. I cannpt praise this accommodation and Viviana enough.

Little oasis in Florence

If you are looking to relax and take a break from hotel stays, this is your place in Florence. The apartment is exactly as the photos portray, very spacious, comfortable and in a gem of a neighbourhood. There are excellent restaurants nearby and it is an easy and interesting walk into the centre of Florence, passing many shops, restaurants and even the Babae wine window along the way. The kitchen is well equipped and we started our day with a good cup of coffee and fresh groceries from the store just around the corner. We even did some laundry while there. Valentina and Viviana were both excellent to communicate with and we had no issues with booking, obtaining information or accessing the unit. If we are fortunate enough to return to Florence, we will definitely choose to stay here again.

Better places to stay

Stairs dark and narrow. Bedrooms and living room not well lighted. Warned not to touch the thermostat, we were uncomfortably cool. Dish towels and glasses were dirty. Shower could use a rehab.

Firenze vacation without the crowds

Wonderful area to stay. Away from crowds. Fabulous restaurants with authentic Florentino fare. Valentina and Viviane lovely people to deal with. The apartment was as shown on the vrbo site. Two small notes the apartment is up two flights of stairs .. no elevator... so pack suitcases accordingly and accept that you are living in an apartment environment. We recommend this location.

Florence family of 4

Very nice apartment with plenty of space for our family of 4. Host was very helpful with check in, explaining the location, providing recommendations and helping with taxi to airport. Location is a bit tucked away from the heart and tourist attractions of Florence but still not too far to walk to everything. Washer on the balcony and also a laundromat with washer and dryer next door. Good a/c in bedrooms. There is a small market close by. The unit is on 2nd floor, walk up only, narrow stairs.

Even better than expected

We are seasoned travellers and always rent an apartment for our stays. The Oltrarno area has always been our preferred location in Firenze. Because we cook most of our meals the kitchen facilities are important to us. I emailed Valentina before our arrival to ask if the cucina was well equipped. She said yes and indeed it was. Our three nights were terrific, the apartment spotless, beds extremely comfortable and linens were fresh. It was a relief to return to the casa after a long day of walking to find a quiet, spacious place to relax. The outdoor terrace, important to us, was well used. We contacted the owners a couple of times with questions and their response was immediate. Could not ask for more. We would return without hesitation as all of our expectations were met and more. Great location

The location of the apartment is not in the crowded tourist area, but close enough to walk to most of the major attractions. A real plus was the proximity to some very good restaurants. We would have given this review five stars except for a couple of things we found lacking. We had to hand wash most of the dishes that we used, as they did not appear to have been washed thoroughly. It could be that they had been run though the dishwasher, but had not been rinsed well first. Also, we found the smoke detector, which was listed as a safety feature, in a drawer in the kitchen. Even if it had been in its mounting bracket on the wall, it would not have passed inspection, because the mounting bracket was fastened about 6 feet up the wall and not far from the stove. There should have been three of four mounted near the ceiling in the hallway of the sleeping area, and in each bedroom. A fourth star was added back to the review due to the hospitality of Vivian, who greeted us and gave us a great deal of information that was useful.

Great location, just outside the tourist zone.

It was a pleasant experience with a few areas that could use improvement. The location is fantastic, with top-rated restaurants just steps away, making dining out incredibly convenient. The home itself offers plenty of space, which was perfect for our group as we never felt cramped and had ample room to relax. However, there were a few downsides. The Wi-Fi only worked reliably in the living room, which wasn’t a huge issue for us, but it might be frustrating if you’re planning to work from different parts of the house, like the kitchen table or the bedroom. Additionally, the property could benefit from a deep clean. The floors were dusty, and walking around barefoot left our feet quite dirty. The couches have covers that could use a good wash, and the throw pillows are definitely past their prime. The property is managed by a large rental company, which seems to be becoming more common. While this ensures a certain level of service, it also means the personal touches you might expect from an individual host aren’t as present. With some simple upgrades and a thorough cleaning, this place could easily earn a five-star rating. Despite these issues, the location and spaciousness make this property a solid choice, especially if you plan to spend most of your time out exploring the area. With a bit more attention to detail, it has the potential to be truly exceptional.

San Frediano, Florence

The apartment was as advertised - by the picture of the front room that was filled with light. It's a first floor apartment about 50 meters west of the Brancacci chapel. Very well located in one of the most authentic Florentine districts inside the historic center. We had great difficulty communicating with the owner because of the Vrbo system that requires everyone to do through their system and blocks phone numbers and email addresses in messages inside the system. For travelers, this is a real hazard because remembering all the individual access passwords is highly inefficient. We exchanged at least 30 emails with the owner, never being able to speak and agree on the details. That said, we had to drop luggage before noon and the agreement was for us to enter at 2. Could never clarify we could do that, so we camped at the address beginning around 11. The person who was cleaning saw us and called from the window to let us in. She was extremely welcoming and gave good advice on the neighborhood. My conclusion is the apartment met expectations, the person on site was very good AND the VRBO communication net is seriously deficient. If I had a choice, I would not use the service again (after using it three times in two months - UNLESS they fixed the communication system and allowed guests and owners to speak by phone.

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment in Florence! The location was perfect — within walking distance to everything we wanted to see, but far enough away from the super busy areas. The apartment itself was spacious and comfortable, giving us plenty of room to relax after a day of exploring. Communication with Viviana was exceptional. She went above and beyond, taking the time to give us incredibly thorough recommendations for the best local restaurants, shopping spots, churches, and must-see sights. Her tips truly enhanced our experience. Highly recommend!
