Mountain Dreams has 4 bedrooms with a sleeping loft and 2 full bathrooms, easy paved access off of a state-maintained road, WIFI, gas fireplace (seasonal), soft mountain views, covered decks and level parking for 4 vehicles. Great location with West Jefferson just 15-20 minutes (approximately 8 miles) from our cabin.

***Our cabin is pet friendly with management approval. However, only dogs are allowed weighing less than 40 pounds, with a maximum of 2 dogs. There is a onetime nonrefundable pet fee of $75 (plus tax) per dog. The wrap around deck is enclosed with gates. There is no pool table, swimming pool or fire pit.

Main Level: There are 2 bedrooms on the main level. One bedroom with king bed, cable TV, access doors onto the deck and private heat/AC unit. The 2nd bedroom has a bunk bed with a desk (no AC). The full bathroom with standup shower is located across the hall from the king size bedroom.

The newly remodeled kitchen boasts granite countertops, new kitchen cabinets, large center island with dishwasher and enough dining for 8 guests. There is a stainless-steel refrigerator, microwave, slow cooker, regular coffee maker and most basic cookware and dinnerware.

The living room has a floor to ceiling stone gas fireplace (seasonal), cable TV and comfortable seating. There is a mini-split in the living room with heat and AC controlled by a remote control.

Upper Floor: There is a king size bed in the loft area for additional sleeping (no bathroom in the open loft).

Lower Level: The lower level offers 2 bedrooms and a full bathroom, bumper pool/poker table, cable TV with an electric fireplace. One of the bedrooms has a queen size bed and the 4th bedroom has 2 twin beds. The laundry room with front end loading washer and dryer is also on the lower level. There is also a mini-split in the family room (no AC in the bedrooms).

Outside: Enjoy your favorite meal with our gas grill on the deck. There is seating on both front and back covered wrap around deck to take in the beauty of Ashe County and Mother Nature. There is a nice level yard for the kids to run and play games.

Location: Mountain Dreams is located just outside of West Jefferson, about a 15-18 minute drive to grocery stores, shopping, restaurants and sightseeing. Boone: 30 minutes; Blowing Rock: 40 minutes; Tweetsie Railroad: 35 minutes; Appalachian Sky Resort: 40 minutes; Sugar Mountain: 60 minutes; Beech Mountain: one hour and 15 minutes.

***2 night minimum for off peak times
***3 night minimum for MLK, Memorial Day, Labor Day weekends and the entire month of October
***4 night minimum for the Thanksgiving holiday
***7 night minimum for the July 4th week and Christmas/New Year holidays

Important Notes:
***The cabin is access by state maintained paved roads. However, you it may be necessary to have 4X4 vehicles with tire chains during the winter months.
***The owners use outdoor surveillance cameras to ensure that their home remains safe. No cameras monitor the inside rooms of the home.
***There is no land-line phone in this cabin. Cell phone coverage is not guaranteed. The home does have WIFI so you may be able to call using WIFI calling.
***No Smoking inside the cabin
***Minimum age requirement is 25 years old

As you plan your trip to the mountains, please remember we do get rain, snow, and some foggy days with occasional inconveniences which are out of our control. Winter weather in the Blue Ridge Mountains can occur from November through April. The majority of our homes are accessed by mountain roads, which will be icy in winter weather. For the safety of you and your party, please be prepared to drive in snow and ice. This means 4-wheel drive, good tires, and chains. It is YOUR responsibility to be prepared for hazardous road conditions. There will be NO refunds, allowances, or date changes resulting from your negligence in this matter.
