"I stayed in Garden Cottage, which is next to the main house. It was very peaceful with a beautiful garden, where I enjoyed sitting in the sunshine. There's a feeling of history to the estate and I enjoyed reading about some of the previous occupants, such as the painter Joseph Farquharson. The cottage itself is tastefully decorated with period furniture but with the benefit of TV and wifi. I could have happily stayed several more days and explored the area. "We have stayed at many and this was hands done the nicest, best stocked, best decorated, nicest hosts, and in a wonderful location. Everything was wonderful from the furnishings to the linens and the special touches and items found in the kitchen. The hosts have stocked the place with books, maps, and other items to find the area's attractions. The location is in a perfect location to visit this seaside town, it's attractions, and to day trip to places like Aberdeen."
