"Very spacious home to stay in for 4 people. Mudroom helped keep wet outerwear away from the main living space. Kitchen was very well equipped and there was also a grill that came in handy. Washing machine and dryer were available for use. Hosts provided an excellent variety of reading material on what to do in Valdez. And they were very helpful via communications.We experienced a power outage while there due to an eagle, which we called the power company about and also spoke to the owners, One of the owners came by to check on us. Thank you! The outage was resolved within 3 hours. Since it was dinner, we decided to grill the fish and it tasted wonderful. The heaters are diesel so that was not an issue. Views were wonderful out the back bedroom window.We enjoyed kayaking at the Columbia Glacier, watching sea lions eat salmon and hiking the local trails. The Fat Mermaid was a yummy and fun place to eat. It's a great place to go fishing."

"Fred was so kind and helpful. He guided us to some local spots to see wildlife and take in some yummy foods. We were able to catch sights of salmon, momma bear and her two cubs and a moose!!"

"New and very nice suite with kitchen. Upside - clean, comfortable bedding, walkable to downtown. Downside - black out curtains do not cover the windows, so the room is very bright all night during the summer. No AC and windows do not have a screen if you want to open it. Check in app did not work so checkin was an issue."

"We had a wonderful stay! The view is absolutely amazing and was one of our favorite parts of the property. We were greeted with a loaf of banana bread and delicious cookies upon our arrival, which was such a thoughtful and welcoming touch.The rental itself was very spacious, giving us plenty of room to relax, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, making for a great night’s sleep. One thing worth mentioning is that the grinder toilet makes an unusual sound when it’s used, but don’t let that concern you—it works completely normally and wasn’t an issue during our stay.Overall, this is a beautiful, comfortable place with thoughtful hosts, and we would happily stay here again!"
