The hotel is very close to Sofia Airport, which makes it extremely convenient. The airport shuttle was on time and easy to spot thanks to the hotel logo—though on rainy or muddy days the shuttle can get dirty, making the logo harder to see, so pay close attention. One of the best features is the Metro station, located just about 150 feet to the left of the airport exit glass door. You can enter the Metro using a U.S. or EU credit card—no cash or tickets needed. Tap your card at turnstiles up to three stations (as required), and you will not be charged multiple times. Instead, it'll be capped at ONLY 2.34 euros (for the entire day as a discounted rate). It will not notify you on phone (if enabled) and will appear later on your card app, not immediately. The hotel shuttle can also drop you off at the airport upon request (every 20 mins)—just make a reservation ahead of time. When returning, simply call the front desk and they will pick you up within 5–10 minutes. Credit cards are widely accepted throughout the city, including at the hotel. Breakfast was included in my package, and it was surprisingly good—far more nutritious and satisfying than breakfasts offered in many U.S. hotels. Overall, the hotel is very clean, and the staff members are attentive and respectful. Highly recommended.

We had a great stay at this hotel, which is right on the corner with Vitosha street. Great location, walkable to all the main attractions. Plenty of restaurants nearby. The room was also great, there is an AC. We could leave our bags at reception after check-out. Breakfast was at a nearby cafe Memento which consisted of a coffee and a croissant which was perfect for us. Would recommend!

The staff on the front desk were really helpful and checked us in efficiently. The cleaning staff were excellent, with our room being cleaned at the same time each day. Overall we had no negative feelings towards the hotel (the rooms can get quite warm, but in winter that is not a bad thing at all). I saw a lot of people complain about the hotel being “outdated”, but in a former USSR country, I found it gives it some character. Would absolutely stay here again.
