Located on 90 acres of a secluded mountain ridge, our 3000 sq.ft. log home is your perfect luxury vacation destination! Located between the quaint towns of Bedford and Somerset, we are close to many area attractions including Mountain Ridge ATV Park, Shawnee State Park, Flight #93 Memorial, and so much more! Our website contains links to many area attractions, wineries & breweries, and restaurants.
Our log home sleeps 14 and contains 4 BRs plus a loft, and 3 full baths. The main level has a LR, DR, fully equipped kitchen, laundry room and primary BR with a king bed and private bath. The second floor has a BR with queen bed, a bunk room with 2 twin bunks (sleeps 4) and a queen bed, plus a loft area with a queen bed. All 2nd floor sleeping areas share a full bath on 2nd floor. The daylight lower level has a family room / game room with foosball, shuffleboard, TV and DVD/Blue Ray player, a BR with a queen bed, and a full bath. The rear yard has a deck with a gas grill and picnic table and a fire pit area. The covered front porch has rocking chairs and a porch swing with endless mountain views. Be sure to hike the trail to our private sunset vista!

We do require that the booking guest upload a photo ID through the platform messaging center prior to arrival and an email for sending a lease to be electronically signed. A code for entering the property will not be provided until we receive the ID and signed lease.
Please note that AT&T does NOT have service on our ridge. Verizon DOES have coverage. We do have a house phone for use during your stay.
Due to popular weekend rental requests, we require 7 day rentals to begin on Friday or Sunday.
For winter rentals, four-wheel drive is HIGHLY recommended. We do have a contract with a snow plower; however, depending on the amount of snow, it may be necessary to cancel or postpone your arrival with a full refund. If you are at the home when a large storm hits, we will make every effort to get the lane plowed for your departure. If it’s necessary to stay any extra days, there will be no charge for the extra days until the lane is able to be opened. We will be watching the weather and will be in touch with you throughout your trip.
Wi-Fi is for email and basic internet only, not for streaming movies. We do have TVs, DVD and blue ray players in each bedroom and the lower level family room, along with a rather large selection of movies to choose from. Please note, this is not by choice; however no other internet is currently available in our area. So plan to unplug as much as possible and enjoy the beauty of the land!
We do require that a photo ID of the guest booking the trip be uploaded to the message board prior to arrival. The code for entry will not provided until the ID is received.
Our family loves to call Mountain Ridge Retreat our second home, and we want our guests to feel the same way.
