Pictures of the place were not what it looked like! Place looked like used car lot with numerous cars, trucks, trailers and construction equipment, some of which was for sale. Very disappointing!

Loved the Location

This property is half way between Fairbanks and North Pole. It is quiet and easy to get in and out of. It took us about 15 minutes to get to the shopping area in Fairbanks, but we were out and about every day anyway. We felt like this was a nice property for us. There were a few things we would have liked that were missing in the kitchen and the water pressure in the shower wasn’t great, but we were very comfortable there.

Excellent Choice with One Exception

Overall, we were satisfied with the rental. We used it for 5 nights as a base for activities in and around Fairbanks. It was the right size and had a great location off a paved road. The space was clean and well stocked. Pros: Paved driveway off a paved road. Easy access to highways and only 20 minutes to Fairbanks. Plenty of space, comfortable bedding, all linens supplied. Kitchen has everything you need and there is a grill outside. Property treated for mosquitos and we noticed a definite difference in the level of mosquitos versus other locations in and around Fairbanks. Cons: Outdoor privacy is limited. The deck pictured is off the front of the house with the front door of the long term tenant next to it. The backyard has no outdoor seating and the long term tenant used it to park vehicles and other equipment. We were renting in the summer and the outdoor space was a big draw but ended up not being as private as we had hoped. This is absolutely a great rental and I would recommend it, particularly for winter usage.

Christmas Family vacay

The property has amazing scenery all around. A winter wonderland. Everything was to our expectations. My only suggestion is the kitchen could have been a little cleaner. There was left over food in the fridge and freezer. Pots and pans didn't look like they were used much, needed to be washed. None of that is a big deal. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

Great place to stay for the aurora!

The place was spacious, warm, and had everything we needed for a week long stay (linens, soap, shampoo, hairdryer, towels, laundry machines and detergent, TV, fast internet, kettle, stocked kitchen). Good location: a short drive to groceries and various tourist attractions, and great place (away from city lights) for watching the aurora at night! Well water taste took some getting used to. The house provides a brita filter, but we ended up buying bottled water.

Great stay - spacious secluded property. House was perfect size for 2 kids, 3 adults, 1 toddler. Would definitely stay again if our travels take us back to the North Pole / Fairbanks area.

Winter Stay

Property was as advertised and worked out well for us. Suggest you view the pantry before you check in as others had left flour, oil, syrup, rice, etc so we didn't need everything that we bought.

Our stay was very pleasing. We had plenty of room as a family to relax and have meals with each other after a day of sightseeing. The house was stocked and had many amentias. Loved the informational book that recorded everyone's likes and dislikes of certain tourist locations and restaurants. Dislike the taste of the faucet water. We purchased bottle water instead. The house definitely satisfied our needs and was located in a safe area.

The property was a perfect place for us to stay. Able to get to all our outings easily. The house was fully stocked with necessities. The coffee bar was extra special! Had a great time and the property owner was great. He had a fire pit and supplied wood on a daily basis, really nice touch! As far as VRBO is concerned I never got the check in E-mail and had to spend 45 minutes getting a hold of customer service to get it. So our rental started out negative but the property owner turned it positive!

Cozy, forested getaway

This is a great home with great hosts. It was perfect for our family of six, and felt like a home away from home. It was stocked with pretty much everything you need, and the owners/hosts were very accommodating and friendly. Would definitely suggest staying here, and we will for sure check availability if we come back!
