"The location and facilities are good enough. Despite the fact that the Hotel Hacienda has just recently opened, the efforts of the team that you can notice that there are sort of staff there. Special mention to Palma in Housekeeping and Rocio at reception :) Castellar needed this hotel in the new town as there is another in the old town, about 15 minutes driving away. Amenities in bathrooms are on demand * upon request*, but if there are bathrobes, they should be sleepers. We understand that this could be to save costs and not waste resources. Breakfast is good, in a big saloon with courtyard terrace nearby the tennis court and direct access to the pool and Spa. There is no ice cream in the pool bar and if you want a tap bier, they need to go inside the other bar as it seems there is work in progress."

"Nice hotel located about 10 minutes walk from the town centre and 15 minute walk or €5 taxi to the border crossing with Gibraltar. The room allocated was a good size for a single occupant and had a nice outlook across the bay to Gibraltar. The room was clean, comfortable and secure. The breakfast provided was satisfactory. I used the small gym each day. One of the reasons I specifically booked the hotel was because of the advertised “outdoor pool”. This didn’t appear to exist despite it being advertised and listed inside the hotel lift. That was disappointing. Despite that I had a nice 3 day visit to La Linea."
