First, I am a hilton honors member and I seek out their properties first when I travel. I have stayed with this hampton inn before and was pleased so we returned to stay. My unsatisfactory rating is for our room only. It felt uncleaned even when we had housekeeping. The rug or room smelled musty. A tiny piece of rug was missing. I think the rug needs to either be deep cleaned or replaced. On day 2 of stay, I ended buying air fresheners to help with the musty smell. I didn’t change the room as I didn’t have patience and time to do it and we were out of the room most of the time. Other than the room issue, the location is safe and convenient. The staff were friendly and welcoming especially the ladies at breakfast. It was super clean and always stocked. Always with a smile each morning…thank you for your hospitality ladies! We loved the grab and go breakfast bags! Hampton inn please attend to the king suite on the third floor 312~#~ with the tiny piece of rug missing. I love your hotel brands and I would want others to feel the same. Thank you.

This hotel is close to the airport, shopping, and food. Early check in was not a problem. Our room was clean and breakfast area was well stocked. We would stay here again.

We got to the property and received our room key. I had to sign a document that said I had 15 MINUTES TO RETURN TO THE LOBBY IF I WAS UNHAPPY WITH THE ROOM TO RECEIVE A REFUND. That should have been an indicator that there would be an issue. We went immediately upstairs to our room and open the door. It was evident that the room hadn’t been cleaned in a while. There was dirt and pollen all over the floor. The bathroom had trash in it. And there was a foul oder. so I went to call the lobby and the phones were disconnected. We immediately left the room and went back to the lobby. We told him that we would like a refund and we did not want the room. The young girl working there talked to older gentleman and what I believe was speaking Hindu, and then looked at me and said abruptly NO REFUNDS. I kindly said, we just checked in less than 10 minutes ago. The room is a mess. It is not clean and there is an odor. We would like a refund now. And they said the best I could do is to come back at 9 AM. Then they repeated, “NO REFUNDS!”. They acted like they didn’t understand me…which is ridiculous since they had no issues with communicating 10 minutes earlier. I will be contacting Expedia and my bank about this hotel. It comes with a strong warning to anyone considering staying here. Look elsewhere.

Greetings Mr. Douglas. That sounds like a terrible experience and one I am sorry you had to go through, but you have the wrong hotel property. We do not have a protocol, that requires guests to sign anything upon check in, especially not one that describes a 15 minute window to return to the lobby if dissatisfied with their room. We also do not currently have any employees that speak Hindu or a description of an older man working at the front desk. Please verify the property in which you stayed and refer your comments and concerns to them. Safe travels.

We needed a location close to where we were going and this hotel served its purpose. Breakfast was excellent. My only critique would be that the staff who put out breakfast be better informed regarding food allergies. Food is not food. Anaphylactic reactions are serious health risks.

This property is in a great location for visiting Estero. The people who work here are all kind and accommodating. The breakfast buffet is very good, with new choices everyday. Our room had a couple of maintenance/housekeeping issues that were resolved. We were unable to reach anyone at the front desk by phone two evenings. So it required us to go downstairs for help. I would definitely stay there again.

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and accomodating. The only suggestion would be to have the room doors close quietly. Ours would slam assuming other guests could hear it.

Since your departure we have installed rubber stoppers to the inside of the doors to prevent the doors from closing so abruptly and loudly.
