Hilltop Hacienda is a private luxury estate perched above Escondido, offering sweeping 360° views of rolling hills and avocado orchards. Designed for space, privacy, and elevated group stays, this secluded retreat is ideal for families, friends, and host-approved gatherings seeking a peaceful and upscale experience.

The 4,000 sq. ft. home features expansive indoor living areas, multiple lounges, a chef-style kitchen, and four spacious bedrooms, including two en suites. Large windows and wraparound outdoor spaces showcase breathtaking views from nearly every room.

Outdoors, enjoy a heated saltwater pool with waterfall feature, spa, multiple lounge areas, outdoor dining, and BBQ — perfect for relaxing or spending time together in a serene setting.

Hilltop Hacienda accommodates up to 10 overnight guests, with up to 6 pre-approved daytime visitors for small gatherings.

Dream vacation house

This property lives up to its description and far more. I was particularly impressed by the cleanliness of the interior and exterior and the high level of maintenance and quality amenities. The space is ideal for 2 small families to share , with room to retreat and to come together. The pool provided recreation for the younger kids and the hot tub and patio was perfect for the adults. The kitchen is fully equipped and well laid out. Most importantly, the host was attentive and very responsive. Our only disappointment was the highway noise (not something that can be controlled) but we did get used to it after a few days. We’ll be back!

Fabulous retreat for our family at Thanksgiving

Gorgeous home that served as a wonderful retreat for our family at Thanksgiving. The home met all our needs and has wonderful outdoors landscaping including a pool and hot tub. The location was great for our needs exploring the Southern California coast. If only we could have stayed longer. We look forward to returning! The hosts were terrific — they were responsive and very communicative. Thanks for an amazing time/stay!

A diamond in the rough!

Jaw dropping from the moment you first arrive at the home! This place did not disappoint! This was my first trip to California and I must say this place set the bar very high for any future trips for me! The pictures online do it no justice at all! The owners have thought of everything! We felt very comfortable and at home while we were there. The accommodations were VERY clean. The property manager responded promptly with all questions and requests. I am already planning my return trip next year to welcome my new grandbaby! Thank you to the owner and property manager for making this a memorable trip!

Hilltop Retreat with lots of space!!

Everything was perfect! The house is big enough for the 6 of us to have a space and still come together for dining and watching movies in the evening. The pool and outdoor patio area are great. We did not get to make as much use of them as we wanted, as the weather was not always sunny! When we were outside it was very comfortable and lots of space! The views of the surrounding countryside were fantastic from anywhere in the home! Loved, loved, loved all of the outside decks!!! Owners were very helpful and pleasant! Love to stay here again when in CA! Thanks for sharing your wonderful home with us.
