「The pool/jacuzzi/sauna was great to have on a rainy day. There was plenty of choice on site for eating and drinking or it was just a short walk into town. The hotel is virtually next door to the cavernous St Macartan's cathedral, the outstanding building of Monaghan. There was a wedding on the day I arrived which made reception very busy and the staff less available but no less friendly for it.」

「Very old hotel, ongoing maintenance to it. Food was lovely, staff was helpful. But the bed was awful, such a poor nights sleep. Windows sounded like they were open, which they weren’t.」
