"The apartment stunk of cigarettes, a non smoking property absolutely reeking of smoke. The fridge had half bottles of other guests drinks. There was a gas pipe sticking up in the middle of the bedroom. The toilet roll was the last few sheets of an old roll. The towel wasn’t fit to dry a wet dog. Disgusting. "This hotel is amazing. Ample parking space. I book an apartment- the apartment space is massive, working air condition. The bed is comfortable.The kitchen has reasonable equipment. There is water filter with cold water situated in the main corridor outside the lift- really helps with the hot weather. Check in space is straight forward. Definitely will come back to stay"

"It's a historic building downtown with two good restaurants, and each room has a different layout. When you walk in, there's a weird smell. Our room had a sauna and a bathtub, but the description didn't mention stairs everywhere, which was a big safety problem. The room was super small and dusty. We didn't have hot water for two days, and housekeeping never refilled the coffee or tea or cleaned the room. The safe didn't work, and the bed was really uncomfortable. We had to call reception a bunch of times to resolve the hot water issue. The management offered free breakfast on the day we left, but breakfast was already over. They apologized and waived the city tax."

"We arrived at 10:30pm into Charleroi. An uber was €12 but we walked to the hotel shuttle section outside of the airport and waited with other families for the hotel shuttle. Two taxis turned up and told us they were the hotel shuttle. The taxi driver was very rude and huffing that he had to move his things off the passenger seat for me to sit. When we arrived at the hotel I paid at the hotel desk for the shuttle which was over €20. This price is absolutely extortionate and completely inflated in comparison to the cost of an uber. You automatically expect a hotel shuttle service to be free or at least subsidised for guests but it was a complete rip off. No prices displayed at all beforehand and it was so disorganised at the shuttle waiting area at the airport it was also impossible to have asked for a price beforehand. Very disappointing and quite frankly felt scammed. Hotel room itself was nice and cannot fault it. breakfast was okay. DO NOT USE THE HOTEL SHUTTLE!"
