Frog Pond Hollow Lodge Private private pool/ lake
Frog Pond Hollow is the magical escape you have been longing for. Nestled on a leafy hillside, up in the Blue Ridge mountains, it has something for everyone! Spend your days kayaking or canoeing around Frog Pond or swimming in the seasonal pool! Spend your evenings soaking in the hot tub or hanging out in the Harlem-themed game room complete with billiards, ping pong table, foosball and dart board. These idyllic three acres can be the backdrop of your family’s most memorable vacation. When it comes time to choose your sleeping space, perhaps you would like to stay in the Frida Kahlo room, or maybe the Gustav Klimt room? Or perhaps the Georgia O'keeffe room would strike your fancy. If you are an early riser, sleep in the tower and arise with the sun! There is ample sleeping room, with bunk beds and a sofa bed on the bottom level as well. Frog Pond Hollow can sleep up to 14 people comfortably. The pool/hot tub and pond are completely private and Frog Pond is only 2 miles from Carter’s Lake! The pool is indeed seasonal and is open from roughly April-October depending on the weather. We have recently updated our game room! We have added Foosball, axe throwing (kid friendly-all plastic not sharp), a new smart TV, new pool table and magnetic darts! Frog Pond Hollow is tucked away, deep inside a gated community. It is very secluded and surrounded by woods. We have onsite parking available. This is a very private road with lots for sale. We are 1 of the 2 houses that are on this street but far enough away we don't hear each other. This is a very peaceful & quiet environment. WIFI: We recently updated our internet and are so happy with our new 5g fiber optic internet. A big step up from the satélite we used to have! However, we do have a some windy and a stormy weather from time to time that could obstruct your service. Please contact your manager as soon as possible se we can troubleshoot or schedule a technician to make an onsite service call as soon as possible Must sign the waiver before using any of the water features! Keep in mind our pool is nestled in a very rural setting. While it is serviced weekly by our trusty pool guy and cleaned by our cleaners as well, you will likely still have to clean out some bugs and debris. We hope you understand and enjoy!

We had a great time. There was so much to do at the cabin. It was very private and even had a perfect bedroom for a teen wanting to get some space away from the adults. I would definitely stay there again.
Absolutely beautiful, serine, everyone had something to do. The hot tub and game room was a huge hit! While the kitchen was well stocked with all sizes of pots and pans, dishes and glasses! We felt right at home
We were able to relax and enjoy the property. The pond was very pretty and fun to take the kayak/canoe out to explore and fish. The mornings and evenings were very enjoyable and made for a beautiful, calm and peaceful atmosphere.
The cabin, pool, lake, and game room were a hit for all ages of our family. Property management was great about communicating when issue arouse(previous tenant caused a trash backup due to NOT following instructions). Kids enjoyed fishing and kayaking pond each day and there was plant of space indoors as well. Only things to improve would be a couple small things, one of the guest room fans didn’t work, the pots and pans are small for a cabin fitting large families and made cooking tedious, and instructions for the showers may be a benefit as no one in our family had ever seen a shower system like those in the house and took a while to figure out how to take one, larger tvs for living room and game room would be a plus.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and the pool was beautiful and clean!
We absolutely loved the property. Loved canoeing on the pond and using the fire pit and hot tub. The house is great and had all you need including kitchen needs. The town square nwarby was welcoming. We will definitely visit again.
It was such a great getaway; we felt relaxed from the moment we arrived. The surroundings were so peaceful, making it easy to unwind and disconnect from everything. Honestly, the amenities exceeded our expectations and added to the overall enjoyment. We will definitely be back and recommend this place to anyone looking for a chill experience.
Our family really enjoyed our stay at Frog Pond. There's so much space in the house and the whole property is very private. We especially enjoyed using the kayak and canoe on the pond. We can't wait to visit again!
The house and grounds are absolutely beautiful, the property manager was courteous and helpful (even in the late afternoon), and seclusion if the location was perfect for getting away with the family and having some good fun in the woods.
Absolutely loved it!
I absolutely loved our frog pond stay. The cabin is beautiful and very spacious. There were a few minor issues but we handled promptly by the property owner. I would definitely recommend staying here with a group of friends or family. There is literally something for everyone to do. Brianna made our stay phenomenal!!! She has been one of the best property owners I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. If your on the fence about this one....just pull the trigger bc you won't be disappointed.

Very relaxing
it was a nice place with lots to do. Loved the pond and boats!!! Lots of room in the house! Pool table needs some tlc. kitchen😊 was great...everything we needed.
Pool And hot tub were filthy. grass was not cut. Overall a great vacation! Love the area. Easy drive to cabin! But overcharged due to grass, pool, and hot tub! Not what we paid for😥 or as advertised!!! Owners might try staying there under these conditions. I don't think they would be very happy!
Had a GREAT time! Wish we could've afforded to stay longer! The owners answered any questions we had prior to and during the visit. The pool is on the smaller side but perfect for people like us who enjoy "just getting wet". Pond was beautiful. House was clean and stocked. All the dishes and cookware you could need, charcoal and propane grills. Linens provided as well. Life jackets in all shapes and sizes for the boats. Plenty of room inside to spread out and not be on top of each other. That climb to the "tower" room is not for the weak; you WILL get a workout! Followed by an amazing view! The only thing I wish I had known prior to our trip (which had NOTHING to do with the property), is the terrain to get to the cabin. The roads were smooth and maintined. But... We have an older vehicle which does fine for us usually, but on the steep inclines (hey, this IS the mountains, we should've known!), it really struggled. Going to the house, not so bad, its mostly "downs". But the "ups" coming out onto the roads had us sweating, wondering if we would make it in a mini van with 2 adults and 4 (older) teenagers weighing it down. I would DEFINITELY advise renting an all-wheel or 4-wheel drive vehicle if you dont trust your own to make it! Which is what we had to do and we parked our van at the Ingles in town. This place was just so nice for our crew to just get away to on our very FIRST big family vacation, and we would DEFINITELY all go again.

Disappointed This Year
So, we booked the Frog Pond for the second year, assuming we would have the same experience as we had in 2022.
The house was great, lots of room. The AC worked fine. The pond was amazing. The "country internet" worked so-so. The hiking around the location was appreciated by our "foragers" who came back daily with bags of different mushrooms. Great meals, good kitchen. The hot tub was clean and enjoyable. So far, so good.
Thinking the kids would love the saline pool, even more, this year than last . . . we were sadly disappointed.
The pool was filthy when we arrived. "Supposedly" it is said to be cleaned once a week. I hope the house owners will review the service of their pool attendants. They did not show up during our stay. Each morning we had to use the net to get the frogs and all of the frog eggs out of the pool. On the first full day the kids caught a jar full of tadpoles, which they released in the pond. The last few mornings the saline pool was so filled with frog eggs that swimming was no longer an option, even after skimming the frog eggs out each morning. The water filtration system wasn't working. A text to the owners to get the pool cleaned and water circulating again got no reply. So, we enjoyed the pond and a day trip to Ellijay town.
Before booking, get some confirmation from the owners that the pool will be clean and in working order . . . IF you want to use the pool.
Summer 2022 was WONDERFUL. Summer 2023 was great . . . except for the pool.
This was our 2nd visit we enjoyed the entire cabin. We were able to have all of our family there and do different acivities. We didn't leave the property for anything. This is definitely our home away from home even if it's just for a few days. Our hostess was the best especially when responding to my emails.
This house gave us exactly what we were looking for. The kids played in the pool all day and then spent the evenings in the basement gaming area. My wife and I enjoyed the peace and quiet of the screened in porch.
This can be the perfect vacation spot, with so much to do. But it does need to be up dated. Broken furniture, grill etc. You have the perfect pond to fish in. Swimming pool and hot tub. Plus they have pool table & ping pong table. But the pool table needs new cue sticks & ping pong paddles are coming apart.
