Rockinnest displays thoughtful architectural design and friendly staff. Amazing place
Thank you to the staff, they are the reason I would stay here again! They are very kind, personable and helpful. Great location, central to downtown. A little loud but they provided ear plugs.
This is a cute little hotel right in the centre of town. The room was very nice and unique in its decoration. The hot water in the shower was quite unreliable and would go from cold to scalding hot intermittently which made it difficult to use. Otherwise, we loved our stay.
Really beautiful room, super comfortable bed and so nice shower! The staff was super welcoming. We had issues with our flights and arrived much later, and they were so kind to give us a delicious breakfast even though it was not included and they absolutely didn't have to do that. It was really sweet of them and so appreciated. :)
Staff! Rhan, Al, and Rica phenomenal!! All very helpful with whatever questions I had. Great recommendations of tours, beaches, and restaurants. Very courteous and nice! Although every Philippino I met seem to be very nice and helpful. Highly recommend the Rockinnest. Super cool boutique hotel! Rooms are very unique and cool! Pricing seem to be competitive with other similar hotels. Location is perfect! Whole little town is walkable and the Rockinnest is perfectly located. Breakfast included! Full cooked meal, very good, lots of choices! Al recommended some great dishes!! He makes some pretty good tea also!! Definitely would revisit!
The design is unique and sculptural. Staff is super friendly. We felt like we were in a treehouse. Comfortable room! If you are looking for relaxation, however, there is a lot of noise due to poor insulation (motor vehicles and street noise) and construction next door. Somehow, we slept wonderfully! But know that the rooms are quite noisy if you're a light sleeper.
I am visiting from NYC, it’s my first time in El Nido. Hotel has the perfect location for me for my activities island tours, land tours, scuba diving and exploring the town. Centrally located and close to the center of El Nido. Short hop tricycle ride to Caalan where I enjoyed a nice quiet lunch at Cadlao resort. Close to a myriad of shopping and dining options. Close to other destinations Nacpan, Lio, Vanilla Beaches and the Zipline.
The property is well appointed. Love the design of the rooms mixed island, modern touches, exposed rafters, incorporating stone and seashells with the bathroom decor. Great folks here, bar well attended and a good selection of wines from around the world. Great place to unwind and have a glass or wine or two after a day’s exploring the seas and beaches. Highly recommended!
We had a wonderful stay,
Very nice open minded people and the best service. The included breakfast was very fresh and delicious every morning and we also spend some time at the very nice wine bar and with the other guests. The bar tender is good in creating cocktails too. The style of the house is incredible and it felt like home those days, very familiar and safe. The only bad thing is the loudness outside because from our 2-floor room the street was very close and unfortunately the disco on the opposite was very loud - even when it was not crowded in November.
But I think in the other rooms it is more quiet!
The reception personal is also very caring - they booked the Tour A for us and it was amazing. They also selling a cooking class in El Nido what I can highly recommend- you get in touch with the culture and talk to people from El Nido and all over the world - the name of the class is: El Kusina. Just ask at the reception and they share the contact.

The location was great ! The ac worked very well during our entire stay that we had to cut short for 1 day as we had to return back to Puerto Prinsesa to catch our early morning flight back to Manila.
The hotel only has 6 rooms I think, themed like a cottage country western inn.
The one major negative review about this hotel is the lack of water. Often times during a shower, we experienced water interruptions ,and then when it resumes , only to a drop like pressure . After coming back ftom an island tour, this is such is a big let down and disappointment!
Hope the mgt will resolve this matter soon !!!
Anyway , since we cut down our stay , checking out Saturday morning instead of a Sunday, I asked the desk staff if they can offer us a few perks, the waiter at the bar gave us 2 glases of red wine upon our return from the island tour.
Very nice cosy boutique hotel in a well designed and equipped old house. The interior design is fantastic. A lot of little design details such as door/door handle tiles etc
The architect used the wooden structure of the original old house and integrated it in the design roof/floor)though unfortunately it’s not very soundproof

Great unique boutique setup and superior service. The construction next door and constant water issues were an issue though.
The design of the hotel is absolutely gorgeous. I saw 3 rooms and each was unique and beautiful.
The staff was amazing, polite, helpful and always available. As an early riser, I appreciated a friendly greeting whenever I went downstairs.
Very walkable area, also motorbike rentals right up the street and trikes (tuk tuk) available at any time.
Shopping is very easy. Market within walking distance, beach shops, restaurants, tattoo, etc. not far away from the hotel.

Very unique property.. the designer of this hotel had complete freedom and it shows.. very neat ideas.. the two staff personnel were great.. made to order breakfast and coffee as well. The only downside is as many have said the pulsating water pressure becomes annoying. The hotel is on the busy street right in the action so there is noise along with the building next door construction. Neither of those two negatives affected our stay.. we would stay here again..
