great service friendly atmosphere

Was only going to stay one night an go back to the hostel that was booked out But 5 days later still here The girls are lovely so helpful cheerful I couldn't leave and they make a super breakfast as well great place new pleasant surroundings The owner Paul is a top bloke as well had dinner with his family pork tasty as so generous

This is a great spot for meeting fellow travelers and organizing tours from. Like others have said, definitely a party hostel with free drinks from 7-11 pm. The private room bed we had was pretty hard, so a little rough sleep. Breakfast and coffee included in your stay. There are quite a few restaurants nearby or its an easy ride into El Nido town proper.

Stuff ist super lieb und immer da bei jeglichen Fragen. Ins Zentrum oder zum Vanilla Beach sind es Max. 5 min mit dem trycicle. Es gibt auch noch einen anderen Strand beim Hostel zu welchen man schnell zu Fuß ist. Abends gibt es immer free rum und man kann dann gemeinsam weiter in die Stadt zum feiern. Bei den oberen Betten gibt es leider keine Vorgängen also ist die Privatsphäre etwas eingeschränkt, aber fanden es persönlich nicht schlimm.

Big Paul’s is the place to be in El Nido - we didn’t know what to expect and opted for a private twin room with for £15 each Free rum and coke - for 3 hours Copious free shots - made by Paul himself Loads of other amazing backpackers from around the world Free breakfast and just everyone is so nice! 5 mins in a tricycle from El Nido town centre Bike rental yards away Can’t fault it one bit - we only wish we could have stayed longer (my liver probs couldn’t take it though)

Nice hostel, for those who want to party

It's definitely a party hostel, they offer free rum and coke every day from 7 to 10pm and guests are there to party! I felt a little overwhelmed when I first got there (I like to party but I also appreciate some quiet time), however it turned out fine: just ask for a dorm far from the common area. Staff is super nice (just like everywhere in the Philippines). Wifi was very spotty + Don't book your tours or travels through this hostel, as they take a commission (just go to all the nearby travel agents).

highly recommended, a great stay, clean and vibey

The host, Paul, has an excellent vibe and is very welcoming. There are lots of young people at the Hostel and it would be easy to meet people if you tried. The rooms are in very good condition, as well as the bathrooms (there is even hot water!). The staff will go the extra mile for you every time! My only gripe was that the staff did not offer to clean your room or empty the bins unless you specifically asked them to - the staff should take initiative to enter the rooms and clear the bins, sweep the floors and change the sheets/blankets! However, the bathrooms are cleaned regularly. A great place overall! The Wifi doesn't really work.

This hostel was very new and very clean. Everything was great! Could ask for a place that is that cheap and in that good of condition. Definitely worth the stay. The atmosphere was awesome, easy to meet people with free Rum and Coke homemade from Big Paul. This was an amazing hostel, would absolutely recommend!

This is my second time with Big Paul Hostel, they are improving a lot from the poor service to almost excellent service. The hostel owner Paul is very hands on and making sure everyone having a good time.
