Beautiful spacious villa with fantastic views and private pool
8/10 Good
"We were a group of 10 and had a fantastic stay at the villa. Before our trip, communication with Bev was excellent and very helpful. However, once we arrived, we experienced an issue with the electricity tripping every 10 minutes. I contacted Bev about this but unfortunately did not receive a response during our stay. Thankfully, we had some handy people in our group who were able to identify the cause and find a solution to minimise the problem. The villa itself is wonderful – spacious enough for all 10 of us without ever feeling crowded. The views are absolutely stunning, and the pool is a great size. We spent a lot of time in and around the pool and had so much fun.The villa is quite remote, so I would definitely recommend having a car. All bedrooms now have air conditioning, which made a huge difference and kept everyone comfortable throughout our stay. The kitchen is very well equipped with plenty of plates, glasses, and cooking essentials. We cooked at the villa on several occasions and never found ourselves missing anything we needed.Overall, we had a great holiday and would happily recommend the villa. The only minor downside for us was that it wasn't really possible to walk anywhere directly from the villa, as the road outside is quite busy, but that's purely a personal preference. Despite that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and made some wonderful memories."
"We absolutely loved our stay at El Nispero Dulce! The perfect place to unwind - we came away from our trip feeling rested. The pool is lovely, and there are plenty of pockets of seating around the property, so you never feel like you are on top of the other guests, and there is always a quiet space if you need one. The accommodations had their own private outdoor seating, too, which we made use of every evening. The breakfast is delightful and made to order, so there is no wastage! One thing to note is that the walk into Alcaucín is mostly hilly/on the road; however, we found ourselves not wanting to leave in the evenings anyway! All in all, a wonderful stay - thank you."

"Todo genial, desde la atención permanente (no invasiva) hasta la facilidad para aparcar. Fuimos un grupo de amigos pero la casa la pueden disfrutar igualmente familias con niños"
"I went into my stay at Olive & Ivy with high expectations, having read so many glowing reviews beforehand. Happy to say: not only were those expectations met, they were completely surpassed.
This little hotel is a gem. The attention to detail everywhere – from the decor to the little thoughtful touches in the room – is absolutely amazing. You can feel the love and care that’s been poured into every corner.
The owners are wonderfully friendly, always greeting you with a genuine smile. They truly make you feel like a welcome guest in their home, not just a customer.
And then, the breakfast. It’s not just a meal – it’s an entire experience. Every morning brought something new, and everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. I looked forward to it every single day.
All in all, my stay was just magical. I highly recommend Olive & Ivy to anyone looking for a truly special getaway – and I already can’t wait to return."
Amazing villa, superb views, close to village, private pool
10/10 Excellent
"This was a late booking and communication with the owners was great from the start. The instructions were faultless and help was given on a hire car.The property is in the mountains and the drive to the property has great views and was easy (around one hour to Malaga airport). The villa, gardens and pool area were great. The villa is very well equipped and is like a home from home. Three bedrooms, three bathrooms, lovely modern kitchen and every utensil you would ever need. Furniture, furnishings and decor were perfect. It is by far the best villa we have stayed at over the years. We spent most of our time round the pool area - with spectacular views over the “campo”.We stocked up with food at a big supermarket then drove int9 the village every other day to top up. The butcher’s shop was good but the highlight was the bakery - El_Soyuco - gorgeous pistachio croissants and cheesecakes. Do not miss out on that shop. We also had a lovely meal at The Secret Garden. We had a day in Malaga, a trip to Antequera and a trip to Nerja caves. Temperatures were around 29 degrees all the time. All in all a great holiday for our family of three (all adults). Many thanks to everyone - owners and greeters. "
Stunning Contemporary Style Andalusian Villa with Private Pool .Sleeps 8

"Stunning property set up in the hills, very peaceful and relaxing location with beautiful views. Pool and patio area is perfect surrounded by plants and with views down the valley. House is very well equipped and nicely decorated and the dart board and pool table are a big added bonus. Drive to property, as has been mentioned, is via windy mountainous roads but it's only the last quarter of a mile that is on a rough track. Small town is about 5 min drive (walking it would be quite a trek) and is a tradition Spanish town with a few good places to eat. The Tapas bar is especially cheap. Would have given 5 stars for everything but there was a slight issue with our booking/arrival and communication was a bit awkward however everything got sorted eventually and the lady who looks after property locally was lovely and super helpful despite language barriers. We actually only booked this property at quite short notice as our original booked villa had to cancel and we are so glad they did as it was absolutely perfect for us. We will certainly be returning."
"What an awesome Villa. Fully equipped with EVERYTHING you could possibly need to enjoy your holiday. The Villa was spotless with three good sized bedrooms, a well equipped kitchen,a lovely living room all with good air con and 2 bathrooms with very good showers. It’s set in a beautiful valley with stunning views, it has two lovely balconies one small just off the upstairs bedroom the other has a table and 6 chairs where you can sit and enjoy the sun coming up whilst having breakfast or having a glass of your favourite tipple whilst watching the sun going down, It’s a beautiful suntrap which has a retractable canopy if it gets too hot.The pool is beautiful so refreshing and we were in it from 9am to 9pm most days and even though it was 35-38 degrees every day we had it heated, it’s just something we prefer. Nearest shops, restaurants etc are 3-4 mins away in the car but I’d suggest calling to Lidl in Vallez Malaga, it’s just as you get off the motorway and not out of your way, it also has the best butchers you’ll find for BBQing. Don’t go to Arkwrights shop which is close to the Villa, there’s a lot of British food there but way overpriced. Iv stayed in few villas mostly in the Comares area where you won’t get better views they are spectacular but this villa beats them all for everything else and I’m already looking to book here again for next year….
