The place was very clean and labeled properly so everything was easy to find. I love that the pool and breakfast area was close the the front desk and the main elevator. The only thing I wish the curtains could close to make the room dark so I could have slept better. Everything else was very good

Anybody with a service animal should avoid this place entirely. The manager Anthony was more than rude. They have an illegal internal policy to have the "Owners" deciede whether or not your certification meets their approval. I have all the appropriate paperwork for our dog. Upon showing Anthony his certification he immediately escallated the issue and did not understand the rules around service animals in Canada. He took this a personal insult and cancelled our booking. During the cancellaton process he continued to be argumentative, dismissive and insulting. He should hold the position of manager anywhere. I have stayed at many Holiday Inns with my service dog with no issue. I have never had such a terrible experience checking into a hotel in my life. Never going back! Update, they also didn’t fully cancel my booking, charged my credit card and asked me for a review on how my stay was. What a terrible manger Anthony is.

Thank you for reaching out in regards to the issue you experienced. Staff at the front desk were unfortunately following the protocol of the hotel policy. We did not mean to offend you in any way. Please accept our apologies. We had reached out to SCSS Service Dogs of Alberta for further verification. They had also let us know which documents are acceptable, such as the example that was shown by the front desk agents. If you could please forward me a copy of your documentation through email to our front desk email address for further investigation, I would be more than happy to look into it. This could help us going forward for future reservations. Once again, please note, do to us being a non-pet hotel, the agents were trying their best to follow proper protocols and did not mean to offend you in an such way.

We have stayed at alot of holiday in s and this was the worst one yet. We got dirty bedding, dirty towels,it was hard to get our room cleaned, the pool areA stunk very badly, the staff was not helpful and we were refused three times to speak with management, even at checkout. We will not be returning to that location and will continue to reach managment about our stay. Our toilet also overflowed whole we were at the pool

The cleanliness of the hotel and room was immaculate! Usually with hotel stays there is always “something”, but not here. Everything was perfect in that sense. The pool was a little small, but the kids still had a great time! I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Unfortunately the extra charges were due to smoking in the room. We had reached out and let you know by telephone and left a voice message. We are a 100% nonsmoking hotel. If there is any signs of smoking in the room, guests will be charged accordingly.

Great for families
We stayed as a family over the long weekend. Checkin was swift with friendly staff. Room was clean and noise free. Breakfast was good. Would definitely visit again
