Thank you for reaching out in regards to the issue you experienced. Staff at the front desk were unfortunately following the protocol of the hotel policy. We did not mean to offend you in any way. Please accept our apologies. We had reached out to SCSS Service Dogs of Alberta for further verification. They had also let us know which documents are acceptable, such as the example that was shown by the front desk agents. If you could please forward me a copy of your documentation through email to our front desk email address for further investigation, I would be more than happy to look into it. This could help us going forward for future reservations. Unfortunately the extra charges were due to smoking in the room. We had reached out and let you know by telephone and left a voice message. We are a 100% nonsmoking hotel. If there is any signs of smoking in the room, guests will be charged accordingly.
