エジンバラの町の中のホテル
部屋にキッチンがついていたので、スーパーで食材を買って料理をしました。オーブン、電子レンジも活用することができました。 部屋も毎日きれいにしていただき快適に過ごしました。 ここに限らずエジンバラは坂や階段が多く、このホテルも道からホテルのフロント（ラウンジ）まで階段があり、キャリーケースを持っての移動は大変でした。（特に雨が降っている時など）

サービスもシステム、インテリア全てカジュアルモダルな印象。大変便利な場所にあり夜も朝も一人で食事する場所に困ることはないし、安心。フロントオフィスのスタッフは皆感じよく親切だった。キッチンにはネスプレッソと湯沸かしポット、トースター、電子レンジもあるので小腹が空いたら軽食も作れる。 ただ１つ、子供の進学手続きでの今回の滞在だったが、このホテルは大通りの入り口から細道を抜け石階段を下がる。6個の大型トラックを2人で運ぶにはかなり手間と労力がかかった。荷物が多い方は筋肉痛にご用心。

お陰様で良い滞在でした。ありがとう！
総合的に非常に快適に過ごせました。オススメできます。しかし、長短はあります。たどり着くのにトランクを抱えて階段を降りる必要があるなど、ホテルとは違い自分でやらねばならない事が多いので、万人向けではありません（足の悪い方など）。

エジンバラ観光の中心にあり部屋が快適そのもの
昨年も泊まり気に入ったので今年も泊まった。ホテルスタッフの応対は一通りで並みだが部屋は快適そのもの。台所はすべて揃っており洗濯機も自動乾燥機。広さも十分で４人欠けられる広さのテーブル、ソファーも４人がけできる。 駐車場が駅まで遠いのが難点だがこれくらいは仕方ない。なにせ何百年前の建物なんだからあるわけない。 室内用スリッパがなかった。今回スコットランドのホテル５カ所くらいに泊まったがみな置いてありました。ただ床がフローリングなのでなくてもいいですが。また来年も行くつもりです。

新しいアパートメントスタイルで暮らしているように過ごせます。キッチンなどは充実しています。一方で部屋は小さい建物にわかれていてフロントを通らずにプライバシーを保てます。ロケーションはロイヤルマイルの真ん中で買い物が多くてもすぐに部屋に寄れるので便利でした。

本当は誰にも教えたくないぐらい…居心地いい。駅から近いけど、場所は分かりにくい。いったんたどり着けばくつろげる空間。次は長期滞在で利用したい！

追徴料金の大きなホテルないしは、アパートメント
ロンドンをはじめ、イギリスのホテルのほとんどは禁煙であることは知っています。日本は、東京23区内など、路上喫煙が禁止されているのでイギリスに来てからも携帯の灰皿を外に出かける時には、いつも携帯していました。 オールド・タウン・チェンバーズに9月17日～18日まで滞在しましたが、チェックアウトした当日、ロンドン行きの鉄道に乗っている時、自分のラップトップでメールを開いていると、オールド・タウン・チェンバーズからメールが来ており、禁煙にしている部屋（アパートメント）で、部屋のゴミ箱を調べてみると、ティッシュペーパー等にくるんだゴミの中からタバコの吸い殻が発見されたので、部屋で喫煙をした疑いがあるので、追徴料金£250をクレジットカードから引き落とさせていただきますとの内容でした。確かに部屋のゴミ箱に捨ててあったティッシュペーパーできれいにくるんであったタバコの吸い殻は自分が捨てたものでした。しかしながら、部屋のゴミ箱に捨ててあった、ティッシュペーパーで灰が飛び散らないようにくるんであったものは、ほとんどが外でタバコを吸った時の吸い殻で、外に捨ててくるわけにいかないので、ゴミとしてホテルに持ち帰ったものでした。それを証拠をつかんだと言わんばかりに、ティッシュペーパーと吸い殻の写真を詳細に撮影したものをメールに添付されておりました。タバコをどの程度部屋で吸ったのかを本人に確認もせずに、一方的に、部屋でタバコを吸っていたはずだから£250を追徴料金として、クレジットカードカードから引き落とさせて頂きますというのはどんなものでしょうかと思いました。部屋でタバコを吸った場合に£250請求されるというような事を聞いたことも約束したこともありませんでしたし、本人の承諾も無しに、PDFで作った正式な請求書まで付けて、私のクレジットカードから早急に引きをとさせて頂きますということは、スコットランドでは当たり前なのでしょうか？ロンドンのホテルでは、ホテルの宿泊者が部屋で喫煙をしていた疑いがある場合には、本人に直接その件について説明し、ホテルのポリシーを守ってくれるように注意を喚起するというのは聞いたことがありますが、個人情報を守るということに配慮もせず、メールに証拠となる写真まで付けてきて、£250という高額の追徴料金を宿泊者に課してくるのは、どういう考え方のホテルなのでしょうか。この様な高額の追徴料金料金を一方的に課してくるならば、ホテルの受けた被害・損害と考えられる金額を具体的な根拠を基に算出してくるべきではないでしょうか。罰金を払った上でまた利用してくださいと言うのは、生活も習慣も違う外国旅行者を受け入れる施設としては、かなり疑問のある宿泊施設ではないでしょうか？エクスペディアはその点をどのようにお考えでしょうか。それと、エクスペディアさんも、ロンドンを始め、イギリスのホテルホテルでは、ほとんど喫煙は不可能な状況にも関わらず、宿泊予約者に対して、禁煙を希望するのか、喫煙を希望するのかを予約の時点で当たり前のように聞いてくるのは、どういう考えでされているのか常日頃疑問に思うことでした。このことは、エクスペディアを利用しているほかの人もネットでその様な感想を述べられていたのを知っています。宿泊施設内での喫煙の問題は、かなり重大な問題をはらんでいるのではないかと考えられる現状況の中で、オンラインで予約を受ける側もその点に十分配慮した宿泊予約受付を考えるべきではないかと思っています。　岡村栄一

場所も快適度も最高クラス
中心地にあり駅からも至近。車は横付け出来ないが改装された部屋は最高に過ごしやすい。最新式のオーブン、電子レンジ、食洗機付きのキッチンに食器も揃っており、何より全自動乾燥機付き洗濯機は旅行者にはうれしい。ベッドルーム、シャワーとも2部屋あり2家族滞在が可能。パーキングは歩いて5分の駅パーキングを指定される。なにより中心地なのでショッピング、レストラン、バーなど隣接している。部屋数も少なく隠れたデザイナーズホテルという趣のホテルだ。

エディンバラ城をはじめとする主要観光地や、空港までのバス、ロンドンからの電車等の交通機関へのアクセスが非常によく、立地は最高。 その上、部屋は素敵だしスタッフの皆さんもとてもフレンドリーで親切。 文句のつけようがないくらい素敵なホテルでした！ 唯一難点をつけるとしたら、入り口がわかりづらいことですかね…。

小道を入って階段の途中に入り口があるわかりにくい、アクセスしにくい宿ですが、中はすばらしく整備されて、アパートメントとして最高の居心地でした。キッチンには食器うあ調理具もそろっており、電子レンジはもちろん、食洗機、洗濯機もあり、我々は3泊したのですが、長く泊まれば泊まるほどありがたみがわかる装備でした。 ただし、まだまだ増築、改築の部屋もあり、工事現場の中を通って部屋に入っていたこと、部屋のWifiやヒーティングシステムに不調があったことはちょっと残念でした。しかし、若いスタッフが誠実に対応してくれて気持ちは良かったです。 エジンバラに、もしまた来ることがあれば、また訪れたい宿です。

旧市街の閑静なアパートメント
　８月、ミリタリータトゥー期間に夫婦で3泊しました。ロイヤルマイルは連日お祭り騒ぎでしたが、一つ奥に位置しているために、部屋に戻ればとても静かに過ごせました。 　キッチンや洗濯機は助かりました。 　毎日の清掃が行き届き、スタッフは皆さんとても親切でした。宿泊直前にメールで宿泊情報（アクセスや部屋へのエントリーの仕方など）を様々送ってくれたのも、細やかな気配りと感じました。 　また、隣接してカフェがあるので、雨天時や、近場で食事をすませたい時に便利です。 　悪い点は特にありません。強いて挙げれば、どのルートでアクセスしても階段が避けられないこと、部屋によっては眺望を楽しめないこと、そのぐらいでしょうか。 　エディンバラ再訪の際はまた泊まります。ありがとうございました。

Stayed in the townhouse with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The townhouse was beautiful AND comfortable. The unit had a combo washer/dryer and a full kitchen. One thing to keep in mind, the unit has 3 levels and lots of steps. Local tours meet right outside your windows but it is kind of fun to listen to the stories. The staff was phenomenal. Went above and beyond in helping us celebrate our 30th Anniversary.

Gorgeous property located right on Royal Mile. St Giles Cathedral directly across the street. Room was very modern and extremely comfortable and clean. Was also very quiet especially for being located right on Royal Mile.

We had an excellent stay at Cheval Old Town Chambers. The area around the hotel is safe and convenient - it's location is perfect for exploring Edinburgh. The accommodations were perfect - a full kitchen and in-room laundry was very helpful. The staff were particularly great - very friendly and helpful.

The appartment has everything you can wish for. The location is the absolute best. Close to all the greatness Edinburgh has to offer. There is a supermarket in walking distance. The personnel is friendly, funny and very helpful. I could t have wished for more

Love this place!! This hotel is absolutely a dream come true. It was our second time staying at the Old Town Chambers. We loved our stay so much the first time that we knew we wanted to come back for our honeymoon. It's honestly my favorite hotel that I've ever stayed at in any location. To begin with, all the rooms are apartments. Each apartment is beautifully decorated with everything you could need while traveling (stove, oven, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, etc.). The apartments are gorgeously designed & make you feel at home instantly. The beds are super comfy & the showers have great water pressure. Very relaxing. The hotel is right in the heart of Old Town. It takes 2-minutes to walk to restaurants, shops, and cafes. If you're in town for Hogmanay, the hotel's location is absolutely perfect. It took us less than 5-minutes to walk to any of the New Year's Eve celebrations. The hotel amenities are also fantastic. They have a gym, beautiful restaurant right by the lobby, & give you very generous portions of shampoo, conditioner, and soap. The staff are also very kind, thoughtful, & helpful. They gave us tons of great recommendations for restaurants & places to go, & they wrote us a handwritten welcome note. Overall, we adored our stay & highly recommend this hotel to travelers. It's truly the best. When I think of a happy place I think of our time at this hotel & the happy memories my partner & I made during our visit to Scotland. This hotel is very special.

Perfect location close to weaverly train station, right off the Royal Mile and easy access / walkable to most sites. The stairs could be problematic but mostly avoidable if needed. Would recommend and return. The restaurant connected to the lobby offered a delicious breakfast.

Well-located and beautifully appointed suites.
The Cheval Old Town Chambers was where we were staying on the last leg of two weeks in Scotland. The location was perfect for walking everywhere we needed to be in Edinburgh, the two bedroom suite was well appointed and beautiful and the staff was helpful and friendly. We arrived at night and were staying in a separate part of the hotel which included using stairs with our luggage - but Oliver on the front desk assisted us and made it easy. Highly recommend this hotel.

Loved our stay here. Apartment was incredible, we could stay in it all day! Our favourite location in Edinburgh for bars restaurants etc. Staff were all super friendly and helpful. Cant wait to return.
