Life is better on the summit! Less than 2 miles from beautiful Echo Lake and Desolation Wilderness, the cabin is an adventurer's paradise. Rock climbing? Head over to Lover's Leap 10 minutes away. The cabin itself sits on an acre of natural meadow, marsh and forest land and includes the American River headwaters. Please note the cabin is *on* Hwy 50. Inside, enjoy our fully remodeled mountain-modern interior with very well stocked kitchen. Open up the sliding glass door to the elevated deck with outdoor living, dining, BBQ grill (these amenities are summer-only) and enormous hot tub (year-round -- best in falling snow!). In the summer, have room explore our property's meadow, marsh, forest and river unlike most rentals in the basin. The kiddos will love the bunk room, tons of games and toddler toys. In the winter, have your snow suits ready because we get a lot more snow than in the basin. 10 minutes to the best breakfast in Tahoe (The Getaway Cafe), 15 min to the Y (try AleWorx) and 25 min to Stateline (Heavenly Village). We're a bit removed from town and there are no food delivery options. House is *on* Hwy 50.
