"Da vi ankom, var der ingen værelse til os, selvom vi havde fået bekræftelse på 1 overnatning fra Hotels.com. Vi fik til sidst anvist et værelse, som dog ikke var rengjort. "Wir waren nur für eine Nacht, wurden aber genauso Herzlich empfangen. Unser 3-Bett-Zimmer im 2.Stock war richtig schön und gemütlich. Die Matratzen waren richtig hochwertig und die Bettwäsche, omg ich liebe Bettwäsche! Alles war sauber und ordentlich, gibt nix zu meckern. Das Frühstücksbuffet für 15,- pro Person war qualitativ richtig gut. Die besonderen Tassen und Teller haben das Frühstück heimelig gemacht. Der Kaffee haut richtig rein am Morgen :D War alles supi <3"

"Lovely stay in this cosy hotel. The pool and breakfast in neighboring spa/hotel was also wonderful. Very helpful and friendly staff. The room was a bit outdated and it would be wonderful if the room came with AC or at least a fan. It can get quite hot in the summer. Otherwise I would recommend this hotel."

"Great breakfast buffet. Nice bar. Excellent spa facilities with indoor pool, 50°/70°/80°/90°C sauna, Serail room, and massage. No A/C can lead to very hot room temperatures on the top floor on a hot summer day. Insufficient parking when hotel is sold out. No obvious option for overflow parking."

"Hotel Herzog Georg is a real gem hidden in rural Germany. The size of room is larger than a standard European room and we were very happy to have 2 large size doubles for my wife and 15 yr old son. Breakfast was massive European style and quality was superb. Lots of walking opportunities around town with site seeing and hiking just a short drive away. A couple notes, not much English spoken here, or in town at all. People were extremely gracious and we didnt have any issues, but just be aware. Also there are limited hours for the reception and if you think you will even be close to showing up after 7pm local time, reach out and coordinate how to get room access. We did not do this (our fault) and struggled to get ahold of the reception after hours with our US phones. Overall I would def stay here again if I was coming to the area."

"Very nice hotel near the main street. The restaurant was very good with traditional Thuringian food. It looks like the restaurant is used by locals too. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options available. The room was functional and the bathroom seemed newly renovated. The hotel had a sauna, but I didn’t use it."
