Lovely lovely paradise in the best place in Maine! Perfect hosts and perfect property! My only issue is VRBO’s deposit payment, but that has nothing to do with this 5 star property or the hosts!

Beautiful location. Sit on the porch and watch the sunrise and a stroll on the beach to collect seashells. The house was clean and beautifully decorated. Loved our stay here.

Beautiful piece of land, beachfront with gorgeous views. Deer visiting in the evenings and early AM. Great deck, huge flat yard, no visible neighbors. Spacious home, with everything you need. Hosts were communicative. Comfy beds, good heat/ac. Very good value!

Nice relaxing place, excellent view and a nice rocky beach for finding sea glass. One evening we even had a momma deer and her 2 babies walk through the back yard. Cute downtown to check out as well- the host had an excellent guide book waiting, and all the amenities we needed.

Great stay in DownEast Maine. The house is well equipped and offers ample space to enjoy the view from inside and out. It also provides easy access to the surrounding area for hiking, shopping and exploring. We especially enjoyed St Andrews and Eastport. (And wine on the deck.) Sunrise from the front bedrooms and sunset from the beach was beautiful and shouldn’t be missed!

The property was everything we expected and more! Amazing views, convenient to town but entirely private, and the beach access was priceless. We found lots of sea glass and enjoyed exploring the beach at different tides. The house had everything we needed, and even bonuses like plastic utensils and paper plates for a picnic and marshmallow sticks when we had a fire. If you don’t like to wake with the sun, bring a sleep mask as it has great sunrise views in the front bedrooms. We would absolutely stay here again.

A great home-base location to explore all downeast Maine has to offer. Local shops & Whale Watching in Eastport a quick drive away and within an hour drive to great hiking & iconic lighthouses. Then the family was able to wind down on the back porch & enjoy the view.

Great property! This house has everything you need for your stay! Very clean, good amount of room, and quiet location. We felt like we were to ourselves. Private beach area was great to watch the sunrise, low and high tide, collect sea glass and shells and just relax.

Relaxing oceanfront retreat

The cottage, the property was perfect. The rocky beach was amazing. Short drive to Eastport. Restaurants are wonderful. Browsed the shops.

Wonderful Stay on Carlow Island

We greatly enjoyed our four night stay on Carlow Island at this property. It was a quiet area, with plenty of beach, perfect for a family with children to explore. We had a wonderful time, collected a lot of sea glass, and biked down to Eastport and up along the down East sunrise trail into perry.

Beautiful area

Great house with the ocean steps away across the lawn. The hosts left a beautiful gift basket of local products too. We enjoyed using the suggestions of things to do in the area.

Serene Maine Getaway

The house is beautifully decorated with local, beach themed items. The view from the back deck is stunning, and a wonderful rocky beach is a short walk away. The house was fully stocked with amenities and very clean on arrival. A perfect home base while visiting the down east area!
