A Surprise Gem!

When my husband and I spontaneously decided to book a cabin at the Silver Springs Cottage Resort we had no idea what to expect. When we arrived we were greeted by George and Dana - two of the friendliest and most helpful resort owners you could imagine. Our cabin was spotless and our bed remarkably comfortable. Our dog was welcomed as warmly as we were and there were no complaints when we took him to the little beach/dock area for a swim. We were equipped with a fishing boat and spent 4 hours on the lake which is both beautiful and great for fishing. We were so pleasantly surprised that we are already planning to go back.

The area was beautiful. Great view of lake and mountains. Cottage was way smaller than advertised. We had aunts in our cottage due to the cleanliness as well as dirty dishes. Tv didn’t work and no wifi even thou advertised. Playground was old, rusted, and not maintained - Slides were broken. As a parent myself I would never allow my child to play on that facility. We paid close to $1000 to stay here which did not include the canoes, sauna, firewood. To sum it al up we were very unhappy with our stay and service and would not go back.

Elephant Lake and the view from the resort grounds is beautiful. Free wifi mentionned in the listing. Not so. Management is friendly but a bit stiff. They were helpful in changing our cottage to a bigger one. Forgot to return my deposit on our departure. I made great effort to leave the cottage in good condition. All the dishes were cleaned and put away. I took care of the trash. Nevertheless, $20 was deducted from the deposit because we didn't vacuum. A bit harsh. We had a good stay. Boating was awesome. Fishing was OK. Had better luck with largemouth in another lake nearby.

Great family holiday

Dana was an excellent host. There were a lot of stairs to the beach but it gave you a good work out. Beach area was great and well kept. Cottage was a bit on the older side but well stocked and comfortable.

Good size room with a frige & kitchenette. Good size deck with a picnic table & bbq. Beautiful view of the lake. Nice beach but you have to cross the road and go down steep stairs to get to it. Very friendly approachable owners! Overall a wonderful stay.

We were with a party of 5 and booked a 2 bedroom appartment at Silver Springs Cottage. We were very excited to go there, and our stay was ok, but the rooms were very small and we did not have much space to walk around. The cleanliness of the rooms could have been a little better aswell.
