Beautiful, self‑contained shepherd’s hut overlooking the River Clyde
Escape to this cosy, fully self‑contained shepherd’s hut on the beautiful Cowal Peninsula overlooking the River Clyde. Perfect for couples seeking peace, privacy, and a comfortable countryside retreat.
This hand made traditional shepherd hut has a beautiful garden setting with views over the River Clyde.
Internally, the shepherd hut is of wooden finish and decorated in light colours and has many windows, so gives a light and open impression.
There is a comfortable, pocket sprung, raised double bed, with reclined headboard to enjoy the great views out to sea.
There are two foldable directors chairs and a small table suitable for eating or working on. The front double doors provide a great view either open or close.
The small kitchen area includes such amenities as a sink, refrigerator, single electric hob, microware and the usual cooking utensils and crockery.
As the Shepherd hut is well insulated and double glazed it is easy to heat and keeps cool in the summer. There is a choice of electric heating or the wood burning stove in the main area.
The toilet and shower room has an electric towel heater and an electric fan heater which quickly warms the space.
Our guests have commented just how spacious the 5.5m x 2.5m internal space is. The area under the bed is also great for storing your bags etc.
Outside there is a garden area with wonderful views out to the sea. To enjoy the view there are very comfortable chairs and cushions. with a gas fire heater/table. We ask a fair use policy and provide up to one gas canister per stay.
Free off road parking space is adjacent to the hut on our private drive.
Located just minutes from Dunoon and the ferry, this is an ideal base for exploring Argyll, hiking, or simply unwinding in nature.
