Being Scotland, golf courses are always close by with a 9 hole pay & play course just 2 miles away and nearby Southerness has a championship 18 hole links golf course, other golf courses are available throughout the area. Mabie Forest, again within a short drive, has one of the stages of the 7Stanes Mountain Bike Network, long distance footpaths and at the Farm Park an adventure centre for children of all ages. New Abbey, again within a short drive, is a delightful village where Sweetheart Abbey is located and there is also the historic Corn Mill open to the public on a seasonal basis. Whether for a restful or an active holiday it would be difficult to beat Criffel Glen.
