"Fantastic place to stay, very comfortable and a great location. The room was a nice size and very clean. Even the lighting is stylish! The only thing that could make it better would be a kettle in each room. I wish every hotel were this pleasant to stay in."

"Great location (once we found door to reception) on a quiet residential street. The hotel has recently undergone a massive refurbishment very sympathetically & tastefully. The was a heavy metal music event in the basement which we couldn't hear at all upstairs. Also we could hear shower from next door, but it didn't disturb us. The street is close to a tramline which starts early in the morning. There is a cool art gallery in courtyard too. We would definitely stay here again next time we are in Bulgaria."

"The staff at this hotel was just excellent. From the two women who ran the breakfast in the morning to the people at reception. They were helpful, polite, prompt, friendly. The location is excellent, too - right by the central bus and train stations with lots of bus, tramway and metro connections available. Our room had a bit of a cleanliness issue which we reported to the staff and they seemed concerned. The surface of everything was very clean but a look under the bed or under a mattress was a bit gross. "

"I had a great stay at Location Alabin Hotel. The hotel is in a very convenient central location, within easy walking distance of Sofia's main attractions, restaurants, and public transport. The staff were friendly, responsive, and very communicative before and during my stay. Check-in was smooth, despite me arriving 1:30 am. The room was nice, and everything was clean and well maintained. It offered excellent value for money and was a great base for exploring the city. My only suggestion for improvement is that the hotel is a little difficult to find online, as the name shown on booking sites doesn't seem to match what appears on Google Maps and search results."

Rosslyn Thracia Hotel

"This was our third time staying at the Rosslyn Thracia, and we will probably stay somewhere else the next time. Overall, it's a decent value for the money, but it's time for the owners to put some money into upgrading the hotel. We stayed in one of the suites, and the bathtub leaked a little bit onto the bathroom floor. There was also some leakage or moisture underneath the carpet coming out of the bathroom. And, even though there was a no smoking policy, there were traces of smoke smells in the furniture and linens. The hotel also now charges 15 Euro per person daily for breakfast, and it used to be included in the rate. I will say that the hotel is located in a great location, and the staff was friendly by Bulgarian standards. Our room was very big; was surrounded by windows, and located on the top level with a very nice view of the rooftops of Sofia. It was a decent value, but it's time to make a few upgrades."
