"Strongly not recommended Terrible service and a clear violation of Serbian law. we had to fight for the most basic comforts, and received only rudeness. The biggest issue – Beli Karton (White Card) According to Article 111 of the Law on Foreigners of the Republic of Serbia, the host is obliged to register foreign guests within 24 hours of arrival. The owner took photos of our passports and then completely ignored the matter. When we politely reminded her in the chat, she became openly...

"I ended up being put in a secondary property. It was nice enough. There was no wifi or blinds which made it difficult to sleep. I also found it very difficult to communicate with the host. They told me there was wifi and didn't respond for the next 4 days after. Apartment itself with a few touches is great and the price was reasonable to. Might have just been a misunderstanding but they wanted to charge me for an extra day which I didn't appreciate given the above."

"Our stay was okay. The apartment is clean but there are some areas in need of a good scrub. It is in a great location. Very practical. However, when we booked this listing we booked the apartment and paid full price for it 1 month before our trip. Then 3 days before we contacted the host to confirm our arrival and they informed us that the apartment we booked was not available. It was quite stressful as we are in the middle of our vacation with patchy access to internet. They instead were going...

Our junior suite here had a king bed in one room and a totally separate ultra-slick, ultra-modern living room, complete with small dining table and kitchen area. At first we were disappointed that the room had no view but it was so comfortable that we soon forgot this! Its located right in the heart of Belgrade. Although its not very far from the train station its uphill all the way and you don’t get a great impression of the neighborhood until close to the hotel.

Taxi from the airport is 1800 dinars with an exchange rate of 110/dollar. The new hotel is in a perfect location in the center of the old town. There are a series of peatonals with stores, shopping, clubs and outside restaurants everywhere. The 70 minute sightseeing bus only runs 3 times per day so check with the hotel staff and costs 600 dinars. It gives you a great overview of the city. There is not a tremendous amount to see on Beograd so one full day should suffice. Nice town, courteous...

Villa Skadarlija

Stari Grad

10/10 Excellent

This is an extremely charming hotel, more like an American B&B than the large megaplexes I usually end up staying in. Although it's small, there's still plenty of privacy, and a nice continental breakfast in the morning. The staff--perhaps three people total--were all friendly, helpful, and professional. The room was adequately sized and extremely charming. Cleanliness, bathroom amenities, etc., were all top notch. The neighborhood is adjacent to the tourist-friendly pedestrian streets, but...

Hotel Opera Garni

Stari Grad

10/10 Excellent

The hotel arranged a transfer for me from the airport by a staff member who was very welcoming and who provided me with much information on what to see and do in Belgrade. The hotel receptionist was equally welcoming. The hotel is beautifully decorated with operatic paintings and the room was comfortable and clean, havng all the amenities one would expect. I was provided a street map which was useful in navigating the city on foot.
