"Tor was WONDERFUL to work with on booking and was available if I had any questions. Check-in & check-out details were clear, as well as what to expect on property. We stayed for 2 nights in June, but I imagine this property would be stunning in the winter as well. Quick access to 80 just across the highway or you can take the short, pretty drive along Donner lake into Truckee. The property itself was easily accessible with ample parking. However, it wasn't busy while we were there. View was the BEST! Loved having coffee and watching paddle boarders and boats on the lake. Comfortable for 4 adults, but would be fun for a fam - upstairs tv area & games. As Tor mentions, you may want to bring additional toilet trees, ie. soap, shampoo, etc. or extra tp and paper towels if you have a longer stay. If you do forget anything, there is a small store directly across the street that has basic essentials, snacks, beer & wine. We enjoyed the chaise lounges that the HOA provides just below the unit on the sand. The private beach is just one step to take a dip in the water. Tor mentioned that he doesn't supply beach towels or chairs, so you may want to bring your own, especially if you stay July-August, which can be busy times. My friend and I planned to go into Truckee for dinner when we arrived, but we decided to go to "The Pub at Donner Lake", which is just a short walk down the highway with great food and full bar. Service was great! CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK! TY, TOR!"

"A little slice of heaven in the mountains. I haven’t stayed during ski season but this lodge is part of the Sierra Club. I stayed towards end of spring/early summer and found this to be a beautiful lodge with every amenity a weekend camper or van lifer would need. They have clean bathrooms, a beautiful main room to hangout in, a kitchen room with fridge and microwave (I believe the original kitchen is no longer available unless they have events or food plans running for ski season). Breakfast was included as well and the host was very friendly! There are local hiking trails and it’s only a 10 minute drive to Donner Lake."

"Cute little place; easy ingress & egress. No view of the lake at all, the blue through the trees in the photos is the roof of a neighbor. Comfortable for 3 adults. Worked for us, we had beautiful weather and easy 5 minute walk to Donner Lake Park"
