Chia, Villa Ulivi, ein einladender Rückzugsort für Liebhaber unberührter Natur.
Villa Ulivi is an apartment in a villa, nestled in nature. Relax on the comfortable lounge chairs under the starry sky and enjoy the scents of the Mediterranean scrub. Dine outdoors and grill delicious fish, steaks, or tasty vegetables. The outdoor shower with hot water will refresh you after long swims and beach walks along the beautiful beaches of southern Sardinia. The house is equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, and electric stove. The bedrooms feature a heat pump that provides pleasant coolness after a hot day. All windows are fitted with mosquito nets. Chia is a coastal town near Domus de Maria, located 7 km inland. In Domus de Maria, you can visit the beautiful, lush green Is Cannoneris forest. Perched on a hill with breathtaking views, there’s also an excellent agriturismo where you can sample many Sardinian specialties. In Chia, you’ll find several markets and numerous restaurants serving delicious seafood. The true charm of the town, however, lies in its seven beaches—each more beautiful than the last—where you can spend your days snorkeling, boating, and enjoying water sports. The beaches vary in sand texture and color. Just a few kilometers from Chia, you can visit other natural wonders such as Tuerredda, Piscinni’, and Porto Pino.
The area is also very interesting from a cultural and archaeological perspective. Just 20 km toward Cagliari lies the Nora Archaeological Park. In the opposite direction, you’ll reach Sant’Antioco, Italy’s first settlement—a very charming and well-preserved little town with a museum well worth visiting, the Ferruccio Barreca Archaeological Museum. And why not spend at least one day exploring beautiful Cagliari? An enchanting city with a rich history and many sights.
Chia also offers several nature trails.
One of them leads from the parking lot at Su Giugeu Beach to the lighthouse and passes by the beautiful Cipolla Bay. From the lighthouse, you’ll enjoy a breathtaking view across the coast all the way to Capo Teulada.
A second hike leads to an old farmhouse from World War II, known as Casermetta. It sits on a high hill and can be reached after about an hour’s walk along steep trails and mule tracks. Here, too, the effort is well worth it. The same trail leads to secluded spots far from the crowded beaches—to coves that are inaccessible to many but are a true paradise for tireless explorers.
A third hike begins at Porto Beach and leads around the cape along an ancient Roman road. The trail to the Chia Tower is also beautiful and offers extraordinary views.
