The Fossil Trail tour provided by the National Park Interpretive Ranger starts at the Dinosaur Quarry Visitor Center, not the Dinosaur Monument Visitor Center. There is no parking at the Quarry so it is best to time your arrival to take the tram up first to be able to go on the ~10 am morning tour. Be prepared for heat!
Be sure to visit Josie's cabin.

The dinasaur quarry was well worth the stop!
If time is short, head for the Dinosaur Quarry first and the Sheep Creek Geological Loop on the Utah side.
We allowed too much time for this - only need abt 2 hrs from drive in to drive out.
