"This property should not be on vrbo site or advertised hosts were very pleasant on the phone as we were arriving late evening , very hard to find the property no number on the gate description is totally wrong near park and shops it was more like on an industrial site , eventually got into the property and was very very disappointed cleanliness was awful there was no lounge to sit and relax just two bedrooms , the bedding was appalling and was certainly not up to standard then to top it all...

Il faut préciser qu'il n'y a ni Wi-Fi ni télévision ni radio, ce qui peut poser problème avec des enfants ou le télétravail... ou il faudra un gros forfait 4G. L'isolation phonique entre l'étage et le RDC est quasi inexistant donc, si qqun veut s'isoler, c'est pratiquement impossible : on entend chaque pas des personnes à l'étage. Cela peut avoir son importance quand on partage la maison à plusieurs. La...

"Nous sommes venus pour un mariage donc le séjour était de courte durée mais nous avons aimé la maison, c'est très calme et reposant. Le parc autour est superbe. La maison est charmante, la cuisine moderne. Les lits sont confortables. Il y a tout le matériel pour les petits. Nous recommandons"

"Excellent. Stunning location. Surrounded by water. A real get away from it all property. Huge plot surrounded by the river which wraps around the site, under and adjacent to the house. Watch kingfishers from the kitchen. Fish for pike, perch, trout and chub in the river which is teaming with fish. The interior is much better than the photographs suggest. There is little to do in the village as it is a very rural area but there are limited facilities in the next village Dampierre-sur-Boutonne which has a friendly little shop which sells basics but also sells beer and wine and pizzas ( very nice) and has a few tables and chairs where you can have a drink and mix with other tourists and locals. Good shopping nearby at Intermarché at Aulnay and even better at St Jean d’Angely where everything can be found including a good veterinary clinic. We drove from England and it is a long way but was well worth it. Unfortunately the weather was mixed and there is little to entertain you if the weather is poor as it is very rural. We had a great holiday and can recommend this property fully. The house is secure, hidden out of the way and very comfortable with good facilities, good WiFi, well equipped and presented. If you like birdwatching and fishing this is heaven. For anglers we caught good sized fish on fly, worms , maggots and lures. Bait is available in a fridge in the supermarket at Aulnay and a decent selection of tackle including lures, lines, hooks etc. Tight lines! "
