It was a freezing weekend with howling winds but the light house was nice and toasty allowing us to appreciate the serene views of the frozen lake from the comfort of a warm bed. 」

「The property is a cottage/ cabin out of the city, so it is a bit quirky. It has well water, the room layout is a little confusing, and some of the flooring/ trim is a little off. 「I stayed at the keeper's house on Charity Island in mid-August with my parents, daughter, and nieces (ages 8-10). It's such a unique stay and very peaceful. The house is spacious and fairly well stocked, though we spent most of the time outside.
