"We drove nearly three hours to stay at the Icona Hotel for my birthday, expecting a relaxing experience. While the property itself is beautiful and very clean, the guest experience was disappointing.
At check in we were asked to pay an additional $15 difference despite booking through Hotels.com under a guaranteed rate, which was surprising. The front desk also seemed unfamiliar with the Hotels.com VIP benefit that included a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine.
The most frustrating issue occurred late at night when a large group next door created loud noise until about 12:30 AM. Multiple calls to the front desk resulted in no action. We left exhausted and disappointed."
