"The staff was pleasant , food was very good. The property needs a lot of work and updates to bring it back to its former self. The property has been sold and and it seems that much needed work is at a standstill."

"We arrived at about 2pm on Sept 1st. We signed up for the full meal plan ($834) for two people and were told, by the desk clerk and his manager, that we could not start our plans until Weds 9-2 at lunch. I explained that we were leaving Sat 9-5 at 6am and would pay for, but not receive a full breakfast as they would not be open for breakfast until 6:30am at the bar (continental only). We also had to purchase dinner on Sept 1 and breakfast on 9-2 out of pocket. I asked for meal plan to start at breakfast 9-2, but was denied any flexa ility. This is an unfair overcharge as I was only able to get 8 out of twelve total meals. I am a repeat Grotto Bay visitor, but am very disappointed by this treatment despite my customer loyalty. Otherwise, staff and the meals we did have were very good. Room staff was also very good."

"From the moment we arrived, we had a wonderful experience. We realized at check-in that we had accidentally booked our stay for the wrong dates, which could have been very stressful. Thankfully, Ana at the front desk was incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive. Together with the manager, she went above and beyond to help us arrange our stay and made sure we had a very comfortable room. We truly appreciated her help! Everyone at the hotel was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to assist. Our room was spotless, had a great layout, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The hotel is also in a fantastic location, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bermuda. If you have the opportunity to stay here, don’t hesitate—it’s an excellent choice!"

"I guess some ants/bugs is to be expected because you're on the island. I wish I knew more that it was really more of an Inn/motel type. My expectations weren't set right. The continental breakfast i wish could've included more than just mini croissant and mini chocolate croissant and yogurt. But location and service was lovely."
