「Mar Y Oro Hotel and Beach is easily one of the best relaxation spots to recharge for a couple days if not more. The Hotel is on Contadora Island. Rooms are comfortable, we usually get the family suite, even though we are two. The more isolated rooms with fantastic beach views cost more. Check Expedia for great rates. EDIT: 2 years left as of June 2026. We learned this morning that Mar Y Oro Hotel has been sold and will become Semi-Exclusive in 2026. We really appreciate the kind service. ...

Carmen took very good care of us and was warm and attentive. At times, however, it seemed she was being pulled in many directions, which occasionally made it difficult for guests to fully maximize their time and experience.」
