We rented this house due to its proximity to the beach and it’s number of bathrooms and bedrooms. Unfortunately, the house is not equipped with a lot of necessary items. We kept saying that it looked like it was just redone and they were rushing to finish to make money over the July 4th holiday. They had paper blinds that weren’t big enough for certain windows, broken doors and cabinets, no mats or rugs to not track in water or sand after the beach/pool, and the kitchen was not equipped with proper pans, utensils, etc. to cook and stay for a week. We were informed 3 days before arriving that a water heater broke which meant we could only use 1 shower in the house for 10 people. The property management company shared we could cancel but provided no other solutions. We went anyway, as people were coming from across the country, and we were told it should be fixed by our 3rd day renting. Instead, the water heater got fixed the morning before we left. The property management company never called to update us on the issue and was hard to get a hold of. I had to constantly be the one to check in. Again, we rented a house that was supposed to have 4 bathrooms but had to use 1 to shower all week between 10 people. We paid a fortune to be right by the water and have enough bathrooms for everyone. We have been working with the property management company to provide us with a reimbursement but of course it has been a challenge there too. Overall, the house was beautiful, had a pool, and a lot of living space, but we were disappointed by the care of the house and us during our stay. We don’t recommend Bliss Beach Rentals/Five Star Gulf Rentals for their lack of communication and customer service. Unfortunately, this was our first time using VRBO too and we think it will most likely be our last. This house has great potential but came up short.
