"Only issue was whoever was there before us loaded the dishwasher, but never ran it. Smelled horrible when we opened it. We only used 3 coffee cups and one plate. Washed those by hand. Then ran the dishwasher with the old dirty dishes. Otherwise , a great stay!"

"Our 4th time staying at the Canyon Cliff House. The view and roar of the waterfall from the cabin is always mesmerizing. We also crack the bedroom window just a little at night for the best sleep ever. The cabin is well stocked, always very clean and comfortable with waterfall views from almost every room. The two bedrooms are identical and at opposite ends which is perfect for two couples. Screened porch is very comfy with plenty of seating. The host is wonderful and always so gracious! We’ll be back!"

"This place was a solid 10/10! It had everything we needed for a 5 day trip. Very clean, very dog friendly. We stayed for our daughters spring break and would definitely love to come back. Views were stunning!"

"Wonderful beautiful cabin that's perfect if you're looking for a more secluded feel! My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay to celebrate our 2-year anniversary and thought the decorations were very cozy.The cabin is really close to De Soto and Mentone and don't think I could have expected a better location. Great value for the rate of the stay. Do note that there currently isn't wifi at the cabin (cell service works perfectly fine). Wasn't an issue for us, but just something to note if you need to be connected while you're getting awayTony was also a gracious and communicative host! We'll stay again when (not if) we decide to come back and visit Mentone. Thanks again!"

"Check in: We checked 1.5 hours after check in time and the cleaner was still there. I wish the host communicated this when I called an hour out to ask for check in instructions. Cabin description: It said three bedrooms, there was only one bedroom with a door, the other two were lofts. The third loft had exposed electrical outlet and the ladder/stairs were wobbly. Only one shower in the cabin, other bathroom had only a tub. The fireplace had the glass pane missing, the host said it was still usable, but we didn’t feel comfortable. The sofa bed was dirty and the other couple didn’t want their kids to sleep on it. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, there was no cabin space. The front loader washer had mildew and required high efficiency detergent. The kids loved the hot tub and we enjoyed the fire pit. We used the grill and loved sitting on the porch drinking coffee. It was so cold the first day and the heater didn’t stay on during the night or when we left and came back, it got down to low 60s, but the next day was warmer. Host said it was climate controlled. Lake nearby was awesome, my son enjoyed fishing and using the canoe and kayaks. Only one TV in the living room, not enough seating for 8 people, only one couch, one arm chair and one recliner that didn’t recline all the way. Close to parks, beautiful property, just surprised at size and other issues mentioned above. Wouldn’t stay here again with 8 people.4 adults, 4 kids and 3 dogs. "
