Wonderful condo
The condo and communication with the owner/property manager were excellent. The condo is spacious and was very clean. This was our first time to Daytona. It was super convenient for a day trip to the theme parks in Orlando, but I would recommend driving a bit if you are looking for beach shopping and dining. Ormond Beach is not far and seemed a lot safer then shopping at the pier in Daytona.
Like I said, this was our first time in Daytona, and it was convenient for our needs, but I am not a fan of beaches that allow cars and trucks on the beach. It was hard to remind my 6yr old to look both ways for cars. When the tide is high there is no option but to be right up by the driving lane. The weekend and Memorial Day were the worst when it came to the traffic and crowds (which is to be expected). Through out the week it was much better, but you still occasionally had to deal with beach goers blaring music from their cars/trucks that you can not escape from. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan of music on the beach, just not subjecting everyone around to it. There was a lot of foul language rap being played near us at most times.
I give the condo, the owner, and the management a 10 out of 10, but Daytona I would give a 6 out of 10. We all agreed that we were very happy with the condo itself.
