The steps were a challenge, I consider myself quite fit but 74steps to climb with luggage not easy, added to which my husband scraped his car on the hand rail while trying to park on the tricky slope. The views were amazing from the deck as expected.」

「The property is a small beach cottage that is perfect for a couple or a couple with 1-2 small kids. Walkable to center of town with co-op grocery and laundry facility less than 5 min away. 「What a gem The Laurels is. We enjoyed a long weekend at the cottage and had everything we needed. Lovely welcome package to arrive to after a long drive and lots of information about what to visit in the area. Beds were very comfortable and everywhere was spotlessly clean. 「Lovely old worldly feel to property. We stayed in adjacent lodges. Staff are the outstanding feature of this property including chef . Bed was not king size as advertised and pillows need renewing as seemed hard and worn out....maybe the addition of a pillow menu might be an added benifit. Lodge was of exceptional size and amenity. Make sure you find the walled garden....tranquil and beautiful. Will be recommending to family and friends. 」
