"This is one of two units in Naz's building. We stayed in the other one first and then moved to this one for the duration of our stay. They are on the second floor of a building located in the center of Orange Walk Town, across from the central park. Great for people watching with a front deck and a screened-in rear deck. We didn't need the bedroom air conditioning as the windows on the south side are louvers with screens. We weren't bothered by any biting insects and even the few flies...

"We chose this place based upon location next to the airport with a morning departure and not wanting to cab all the way from Belize city amongst congestion and traffic. "We had the place to ourselves and the beautiful wildlife right on the river. Shanna and Kenny were wonderful and handled every aspect of our trip. The pool and bbq were fun! I would definitely stay here again. The family of Howler Monkeys with babies were my favorite part. Peaceful, serene, and in the jungle."

"What a beautiful resort! Kaleb was our host checking in. Very professional and friendly. There was a small issue with our room, but it was quickly rectified beyond our expectations. The rooms were immaculate, spacious and had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The grounds were absolutely gorgeous with giant iguanas running around. We dined at the restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. We had a chance to interact with the owner Beverly and she was wonderful and gracious. Upon checking out, I interacted with Dryane, again, very professional and friendly. I chose this location as it was close to both Altun Ha and the Baboon sanctuary, which both come highly recommended from me. Black Orchid is a wonderful place to stay. I hope to return someday."
