「The Balsam Mountain Inn was a most wonderful place to stay!! EVERY single staff member could not have been more helpful!! To sit on the porch and relax and look at the view was an experience all it's own....sooooo relaxing!! Coffee was a local brand and tasted amazing, along with the pastries. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and the long, hot shower was refreshing. The Inn was close to restaurants downtown and just a shirt trip! You will not be disappointed! Please support this...

「I was enchanted by this property. Having a pool, bar, restaurant was much less important than sitting in the rocking chairs on the porch with a blanket. The property was beautiful. I really enjoyed talking to the manager. He was very helpful and gave me information on the history of the property. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed. I will be staying here again when in Waynesville. An absolutely beautiful property.」

「I booked a room on Expedia as a non-smoking king size room. When I checked in they gave a smoking room king size and was told that since I booked through a third party this is what I had to take. Not thrilled and the room and floor smelled terrible. Room service was not offered so I had to beg the staff for clean towels and wash clothes for the second night. Overall the hotel and casino was nice but not thrilled with the resort fee charges that everyone seems to be getting away with nowadays.」

「Always enjoy staying here due to proximity to the town and ample parking. We did run into problems with WiFi , staff attempted to resolve quickly. Toiletries and towels provided. Coffee available. 」

「This is an older motel, but it has been pretty well maintained. Some of the repairs (drywall) were a little on the shabby side, but overall pretty decent. Breakfast was basic, but good. The best part of this motel is the view. Beautiful mountain views greet you every morning. Very reasonably priced.」

「We had an amazing stay here. The location was beautiful and easy to find. The views were great-- the river in the back and the old train tracks in front (which would have been great for an industrial photo shoot of we had time). It was also central to everywhere we wanted to go near Cherokee and Bryson City. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful-- I accidentally left my portable charger while checking in and didn't realize until the end of my trip. Believe it or not, they still had it!!...

「Would been great but it took 20 mins and I kid you not 20 mins for the water to get hot. We moved the chair in the corner by the table and all underneath it and behind it was full of dead bugs where the maids had not bothered to pull out and sweep behind of underneath it. My nephew was 4 doors down and went to take a shower but had no shower curtain. Seems that this place is going down hill a little since new owners took over.」

「I absolutely loved this property! I didn’t want to leave!! Location was perfect. Bull frogs, birds even the light rain was relaxing. We stayed in the Mountain Laurel Yurt and it was amazing. Clean, upgraded, very luxurious! We had two elk wander in to drink from the pond and they were so beautiful! I highly recommend this property and can’t wait to return!」
