About this property

All Season Vermont Vacation Cottage. Pet Friendly!

  • Sunset Cottage has been described by people who have visited as quaint, cozy, romantic, bright, peaceful, relaxing. There is one bedroom downstairs and additional sleeping in the loft area. This fully furnished cottage has lots of light with 2 picture windows on the first floor and one on the second facing South and West with great views of the open fields, trees and the Green Mountains. The cottage has a cathedral ceiling with a large loft area that is a TV/Sitting area and can be used as a sleeping area. There is a Vermont Castings gas stove which heats the cottage with additional heat in the bathroom, which has a tub/shower and washer/dryer. Downstairs also is the living room/ kitchen area. The kitchen is complete with a full size refrigerator, gas stove with oven, microwave, coffee pot, etc. Linens are provided. Nearby are country stores, fine dining, churches, libraries, post office, groceries, beverages. and several micro breweries, including the Hillstead Farm Brewery in nearby Greensboro.
    Winter Sports:
    Cross Country skiing, snow shoeing, skating at the nearby Craftsbury Outdoor Center.
    Summer Sports: Craftsbury Outdoor Center provides bike rentals. Also the cross country ski trails are used for biking trails. The Center also provides professional sculling lakes and instructions.
    Your dog/dogs are welcome!
    Snow Mobile: We are located by the trail! Park your trailer and you can ride from Sunset Cottage.

This was a wonderful find! Spacious, quiet, and clean--what more could you ask for. The host got back to me within 10 minutes when I had a question. Our dog loved the space he had outside just to be a dog. We will definitely put this one on our list of places to come back to.

Great Layout. Bedroom is pretty squished with the full bed taking most of the floor space. Water pump is quite loud when in the bedroom. But there is lots of other space. Comfy bed. Comfy seating. Everything you need in kitchen. Place was quite clean. Perfect for a couple.

Great stay!

Great cottage, great location too! It's quiet but close to shops and restaurants. It's perfect for if you want a place to hunker down and just relax for a few days, and just as perfect if you want to explore the NEK all day and have a cozy place to come back to at night!

Had a great stay, it's a cute and comfy cottage. I saw the most incredible rainbow I've ever seen in the field across the street, was the icing on the cake of a great little vacation!

This was our family's first big trip since our child was born 9 months ago. The cottage was absolutely perfect for us and our dog. Quiet, clean, plenty of space, and easily accessible. We would, and certainly hope to visit again!

Lovely stay

Loved Craftsbury!

My husband and I had a great time staying in Craftsbury. We had a little trouble locating the cottage— but one we retraced our steps with the check in directions we were able to find it! We had a lovely stay and would definitely come again.

Great stay as usual

Such an easy stay and a sweet home. The fireplace is wonderful and a nice way to relax after an eventful day. The loft is great to have some space to relax and chill out.

Cozy and Super Comfortable

Stayed with our coaching staff for ski races at the Craftsbury Outdoor center. Very cozy and comfortable with a nice hot shower. We really enjoyed our stay!

Great Little Spot

The house is very cozy - very clear that people use it, not like a hotel room, in a good way. Has great heat in the winter and it was amazing to have a washer and dryer for those wet winter days.
