Girls Trip
The property was perfect for us. We spent lots of time visiting in the property and on the deck. It had everything 4 women needed for their week long trip. Jacqueline was very accomidating and responded to us very quickly. Would definitely reommend this home

Post Christmas relaxation
We had booked for skiing but there was little snow on the mountain so we just enjoyed Courtenay. The location was great. At first I was a bit worried about only 1 TV and 2 teenagers but we ended up snuggled up watching movies and Sienfeld reruns. A great family getaway. Thanks so much!

Family Christmas
We hosted a family Christmas and it couldn't have felt more like home. Host decorated the house and yard, including a Christmas tree. The family felt warm and welcome. We would stay here again and definitely recommend it.

Wonderful Cottage by the River!
This is a lovely cottage in a wonderful, peaceful location. The property is beautifully and lovingly maintained, the cottage is full of light and warmth, and the deck invites you to sit for hours watching the river. We enjoyed tubing and kayaking, and the fresh peaches from the peach tree. We loved it.

Beautiful riverfront home away from home
We have been staying here almost every year for 10 years now and we never get tired of it. This is such a beautiful home in such a fantastic location. The back deck overlooking the river is stunning. It's walking distance to downtown Courtenay for shopping and restaurants. The house itself is beautiful - beautifully decorated, comfortable furniture, and well equipped for cooking family meals. The beds are super comfortable as well. This place is really a gem.

Great location
Access to the puntledge and downtown Courtenay are unmatched with this house. We were on the river every day. A short walk to downtown made getting morning coffee or an evening out a breeze. When not doing that, the house had everything we needed for meals at home. Jacqueline was great for communication the whole time. We can't wait to go back!

Lovely home
Lovely, clean, and quiet property with great view of the river. Comfortable beds. Convenient to town with grocery stores and great restaurants. We enjoyed being able to water the perennials every morning! There was a musty smell when we arrived that the host explained could be because the house had been closed up for the week before, however the smell never went away. Nevertheless, we would stay here again when visiting Courtenay.

A piece of paradise
This was not just a beautiful house with tons of character, it felt like home. The bungalow style was perfect for us and my parents. Communication with our host was exceptional. We would definitely come back if our in the area again.

This home was peacful with a gorgeous yard and beutiful view of the river. It is close to town and communication with host was great. We thoroughly enjoyed the bikes and kayaks. It is the perfect home to get together with family. We will be back.

Bright and Cheery
Bright and cheery....loads of windows to allow for natural light. So nice to look out at the river and enjoy the sound of the birds. Everything was so nice and clean and it was evident the owners took a great deal of pride in this property. Close to town, so a very easy walk. We loved being able to jump on our bikes and cycle on the One Spot trail as well as lots of other roads. Great location. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Superb cottage and excellent location
Very lovely and warm cottage. Safe backyard for dogs with a grand view over the river. Walking distance to pubs and restaurants. Light switches and appliances are clearly labelled. For a visit to Comox valley, there could be no better place!

Lovely accommodation
Jacqueline‘a place is well appointed and each detail accounted for. The place is well kept and has nice luxury accommodation details while being unpretentious and relaxing. Really beautiful living area and up to date kitchen. It was so pleasant to sit in a beautiful living room filled with natural light and look out over the river to see herons, eagles, ducks and even an otter from the comfort of home. Thanks for a great stay.

Another wonderful Christmas
As always, this property was amazing. We arrived Christmas Eve and left New Years Day. Everything was perfect and it would be very hard to even imagine better accommodation. This was our third Christmas at the cottage and we’ve already booked next year.

Felt like we were in our own home
My kids and I spent four nights while we skied at Mount Washington. This home was so comfortable and we immediately felt at home. It’s perfectly equipped to be the perfect base camp for a skiing getaway. Fully equipped and cozy, we’ve rebooked for next month too. Jacqueline is an excellent host. Our check in was easy and she was super responsive to queries. The location is pretty hard to beat too. Don’t stay on the mountain. This place is walking distance to groceries, restaurants and great shopping. 5 stars in all categories.

Jacqueline is the Best!
Due to flights and snowstorms on Vancouver Island we never made it to Courtney for our scheduled holiday a few weeks ago! Jacqueline completely understood and took care of our booking better than we could have imagined. She is a host that should be acknowledged for going above and beyond accommodating unforeseen circumstances! This would have been our 2nd stay! Hope to stay here again soon…

Incredibly relaxing stay on the river yet close to everything
We had a wonderful week long stay. We probably could have spent the whole time between the kitchen, the deck, and the river but we also walked to town and drove to nearby hikes, water attractions and restaurants. This is a beautiful and comfortable place to stay. Everything you need from groceries to pottery within reach. Would definitely return.
