What's not to like? What you see in the pictures is what you get - and much more. The location is great for anyone who wants to see this part of the world (North East Italy, close to Venice and Trieste). You can be in Venice within hours - a great contrast to this stay - and get to places like Trieste and Slovenia which are so close by - or the mountains or the sea which are also close by. The place itself is featured in a magazine which tells the story of its history and wonderful renovation; we found this magazine, along with other helpful guides for tourists, in the main hall downstairs. The magazine cover has a picture of the place, with a detailed story of its history and amazing interior renovation. Luisella gave us a spare copy of the magazine, which now serves as a coffee table book in our dining room at home. We can flip through the centerfold of the magazine, see the story of the place, and use it to describe to our guests how beautiful the place is and how wonderful our stay was. Luisella was the best host. We would book this place again - a great summer spot. This would be a great stopover for anyone interested in a winter getaway too - like the 2026 Winter Olympics (Cortina, Italy), which is ~ 200 km away (~ 2 or 3 hour drive).
