Well, how can I put into words the panoramic view from the villa - beautiful and idyllic. We really miss those views now we are back home. The villa is very spacious (we are a family of 6 adults and one baby but still had privacy) with a large lounge area looking out to the views, large kitchen, one downstairs bedroom and shower room, two further en-suite bedrooms upstairs, located in a very quiet position on top of a hill. All bedrooms have balconies. Be aware that your satnav will not take you directly to the villa as it is up a very bumpy track. However, Anna will meet you before you get to the track to guide you to the villa. I would say that the walk to the village would take about half an hour, and maybe longer on the way back as its all up hill. The track is very bumpy and stony, not suitable for a child's pushchair. There are a couple of supermarkets in the village along with an excellent butcher and some tavernas. There are several beaches nearby, all have car parks and access by road, although in some places very narrow with lots of bends. Car hire is definitely recommended or else you would be very isolated. The sunsets are also beautiful from the villa. If you go out of the entrance and take a right up the track you will have an even better view of the sunset. Anna is a very tentative host, ensuring everything is perfect for your stay, including a welcome drink on arrival. It was my birthday while we were staying at the Villa and my daughter had arranged with Anna a birthday cake - it was a lovely surprise.
Bathroom towels and sunbed towels are provided and changed during your stay and the villa was cleaned during our week stay. If you have any problems or need help with anything Anna is always on hand to advise. We would definitely love to stay at Villa Vardia again and explore more of what Corfu has to offer.
